Participating Institutes for BTech Admission

The Round 2 allotment covers the BTech seats offered by the engineering colleges that take part in the JKBOPEE counselling. The major participating institutes are listed below.

  • Government College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Jammu
  • Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Jammu
  • Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET), Jammu
  • SSM College of Engineering, Baramulla

What Should Allotted Candidates Do Next?

Candidates who have been allotted a seat must report to the allotted institute within the schedule notified by JKBOPEE. They must carry the printed allotment letter along with the originals and self-attested copies of the required documents. The institute will verify the documents and confirm the admission.

Documents Required at Reporting

  • JKCET 2026 admit card and scorecard
  • Round 2 provisional allotment letter
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • Domicile or PRC certificate of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Category certificate, if applicable
  • Identity proof such as Aadhaar card
  • Recent passport-size photographs

What Happens If a Candidate Does Not Report on Time?

Candidates who fail to report to the allotted institute within the deadline will lose their allotted seat. The seat will then be released for the next round of counselling. JKBOPEE has followed the same rule in earlier rounds and notified the same in past official notices.

Why This Round Matters

Round 2 is the final main allotment before any mop-up or open round. Candidates who skip reporting may have limited chances to claim a BTech seat in Jammu and Kashmir for the 2026 session. Reporting on time secures the seat.

Action Plan for Candidates

  1. Log in at jkbopee.gov.in and download the Round 2 allotment letter.
  2. Read the allotted institute name, branch, and category on the letter.
  3. Arrange all original documents and self-attested photocopies in advance.
  4. Report to the allotted institute within the dates notified by JKBOPEE.
  5. Complete document verification and pay the admission fee at the institute.
  6. Track the JKBOPEE website for any further round or upgradation notice.
Keep an Eye On

Watch the JKBOPEE portal for the Round 2 reporting schedule and any mop-up or open round notice for vacant BTech seats.
