The NTA has extended the date for updating the bank account details for the NEET fee refund to July 14. The NEET result will be released on or before July 20 on the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, as confirmed by the senior officials.
NTA is expected to release the OMR sheets anytime now. As per ANI, around 10,000 challenges have been made by candidates against the provisional answer key, which was released on 25th June.
- Currently, the NTA is examining the challenges made by the candidates and will then finalise and release a final answer key.
- The NEET result will be released based on this final answer key and will not be re-evaluated further.
- Along with the result, the qualifying cutoff will also be released by the NTA and is expected to be around 137-142 for the UR/EWS category and 106-111 for the reserved categories.
- After the result, there will be 2 merit lists prepared in NEET, i.e. only by NTA and the other by state counselling authorities.
- The MCC will conduct the counselling for the 15% All India Quota seats and the state counselling authorities for the 85% state quota seats.
The NEET 2026 score will be used for around 1.29 lakh MBBS seats in 780-800 medical colleges, 28,000 BDS seats in ~320 dental colleges, more than 52,000 AYUSH seats, and 600+ BVSc seats.

Extension of Date to Update Bank Account Details
NTA has again extended the date to update the bank account details for the NEET fee refund to July 14, 2026.
- So far, only about 10,28,223 candidates have updated and confirmed their bank accounts.
- NTA has already started refunding the examination fee to these candidates.

Bank Account Details Updation
To ensure that no candidate is inconvenienced and that every eligible candidate has a fair chance to receive the refund, NTA has decided to extend the refund Portal.
- All candidates can now view, confirm, correct, or update their bank account details till 7 July 2026 (up to 11:50 P.M.).
- Candidates may log in to the NEET UG 2026 registration portal and access the refund link to submit their bank account details.
- Candidates may also upload a cancelled cheque, if desired, to ensure the accuracy of the bank account information.

Re-NEET 2026 Answer Key
The Re-NEET 2026 provisional answer key has been released by NTA on 25th June 2026 on its official website, neet.nta.nic.in. The NEET answer key comes in two stages — provisional and final.
- The provisional answer key is available on the official website, and NTA has provided the answer key challenge window, which is now closed.
- Candidates challenged the answer key by paying a fee of Rs. 200/- per question. If your challenge is accepted, the fee will be refunded.
- The answer key challenge window was provided from 25 June to 28 June, and candidates were only able to make the challenge in online mode.
- NTA has received around 10,000 challenges, and after the verification of the challenges by the expert panel, the final answer key will be released.

NEET 2026 Re-checking and Re-evaluation of Answer Sheets
In NEET UG, there is no provision for revaluation of the result, as the machine-readable answer sheets are evaluated with extreme care and are repeatedly scrutinised.
The result is not reevaluated due to the following reasons:
- The OMRs are machine gradable and are evaluated through specific software impartial to all.
- The candidates are provided with an opportunity to make a representation on the OMR gradation of their OMR sheets.

NEET 2026 OMR Sheet and Responses
As per the recent NTA notice, the scanning of OMR answer sheets is still in progress, and the answer sheet challenge window has been closed.
- This will help in enabling expert review of the challenges to commence in parallel with OMR scanning, rather than sequentially after it.
- By this, the NTA aims to publish the final answer key and declare the result at the earliest possible date.

NTA will soon display the scanned images of OMR Answer Sheets and the recorded responses of all candidates on the website.
- Applicants will be allowed to submit a representation against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question.

NEET 2026 Result
The Re-NEET 2026 result is expected to be released by July 20, 2026. As per the NTA officials, “ the result is typically released in around 45 days, but as they have taken only 37 days to conduct the exam, the result will be released much earlier”.
Candidates can download their NEET 2026 scorecard from the official candidate portal by entering their application number, password, and security code. The scorecard shows your subject-wise percentile, total score, overall percentile, All India Rank (AIR), and category rank.

NEET 2026 Merit List (AIQ and State Quota)
In NEET 2026, there will be 2 merit lists, i.e. one is prepared by the NTA for the 15% AIQ, and the other is prepared by the respective state counselling authorities for the 85% State quota.
- NTA Merit List: The merit list of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% of the All India quota seats will be prepared by the NTA on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET UG 2026.
- State counselling authorities Merit List: For the seats other than the All India Quota of 15%, the NTA will provide the All India Rank and Result.

NEET 2026 Cutoff

As per the Reddit discussion, if we compare the 2026 exam with that of 2025, the bio was easier and not as lengthy as the 2025 exam.
- The physics was difficult, but candidates are prepared this time to face tough questions, unlike in 2025. However, the physics questions this year were new and unique.

As per the Competition Wallah, the expected marks for a rank under 100 are 680 in the Re-NEET 2026.
- Candidates can secure a rank under 500 and under 1,000 with around 640 and 620 marks, respectively.

The NEET 2026 counselling is conducted in two parallel tracks.
