National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted Re-NEET 2026 exam. More than 20 lakh students appeared for the examination across India. Answer key to be released soon.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully concluded the Re-NEET 2026 examination on June 21, 2026. Over 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam across 5,440 examination centres throughout India and 14 centres abroad. The examination was administered in 13 languages including Hindi and English to ensure accessibility for all candidates. Extensive arrangements were made for more than 10,000 persons with disabilities and around 81 candidates with special medical conditions. The entire examination was conducted with robust security measures including Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, CCTV monitoring, and two-layer frisking. Answer key will be released soon on neet.nta.ac.in. Official result is expected in July 2026. Following result announcement, the medical counselling process will commence for MBBS, BDS, and other medical program admissions.

Massive Coordination Effort
Re-NEET 2026 was a whole-of-government effort. Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) provided security, while the Ministry of External Affairs coordinated international centres. The Department of Posts assisted in logistics, and the Indian Air Force supported transportation. The Ministry of Home Affairs ensured law and order, and the Ministry of Health provided medical facilities. Railways coordinated candidate transportation, while NIC and MeitY provided technical support. Banking partners (SBI, Canara Bank, PNB, and UCO Bank) handled fee collection, and State Governments provided local support and facilities.
Special Arrangements Made
Candidates were provided with shade, water, and food at centres. Ambulances and medical facilities remained on standby, while free transportation was arranged on exam day. Special arrangements were made for persons with disabilities and candidates with health conditions. Security measures included CCTV monitoring, command and control centres nationwide, two-layer frisking, Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, and face recognition technology.
What Comes Next: Post-Exam Timeline
The answer key will be released soon on neet.nta.ac.in. A provisional answer key will be available for review, followed by a challenge window for objections. After review, the final answer key will be published. The official result is expected in July 2026, after which the merit list will be prepared and medical counselling registration will begin.
