The Directorate of Medical Education Tamil Nadu has opened online registration for 2026-27 counselling for Diploma and UG Paramedical, Nursing, and Pharmacy courses. The window runs from June 21 to July 3, 2026 with a Rs 250 processing fee.

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu has opened online registration for Diploma and Undergraduate (UG) Paramedical, Nursing, and Pharmacy courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal at tnmedicalselection.net.
The registration window will remain open from June 21 to July 3, 2026. Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 250 through online modes only. Accepted payment methods include net banking, debit card, credit card, and UPI.
The merit list will be prepared based on Class 12 board examination marks. Admissions will be conducted for seats available in government and self-financing colleges. Separate prospectuses for each course are available on the official notification page.

Courses Offered Under the Counselling
The 2026-27 counselling process covers the following programmes under the Selection Committee, DME Tamil Nadu:
- B.Sc. Nursing
- Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (DGNM)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) – 6-year programme including Post Baccalaureate
- Diploma in Pharmacy
- Allied Health Sciences (AHS) degree courses including:
- B.P.T. (Bachelor of Physiotherapy)
- B.O.T. (Bachelor of Occupational Therapy)
- B.ASLP (Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology)
- B.Sc. Radiology and Imaging Technology

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Eligibility criteria vary according to the course selected and are detailed in the respective official prospectuses. Candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board. Subject requirements differ for nursing, pharmacy, and paramedical programmes.
Most UG Paramedical and Nursing courses require Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
B.Pharm and Pharm.D require Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
