The NEET 2026 Re-exam has been concluded at 5:15 PM in PEN and PAPER mode. Based on initial student feedback and expert analysis, the overall difficulty level of the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam held on June 21 was rated moderate to moderately difficult. 

  • Physics: The physics section was moderate to difficult, with questions asked from topics such as Mechanics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics, and Thermodynamics.
  • Chemistry: The chemistry section was moderate in difficulty, with questions asked from topics such as Organic Chemistry, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, and Biomolecules.
  • Biology: The biology section was easy to moderate, and the questions were based on NCERT. The questions were asked on topics such as Human Physiology, Genetics & Evolution, Biotechnology, Ecology, Reproduction, and Plant Physiology.

As per the expert analysis, the expected cutoff for the General category is likely to be around 540-550 marks. Experts also suggest that a score of 580+ marks may be considered a safe score for securing a government MBBS seat through counselling.

NTA has successfully conducted the Re-NEET across the country for 22.79 lakh registered candidates after the original NEET 2026 exam held on 3rd May 2026 was cancelled by NTA due to a question paper leak.

Re-NEET UG 2026 Exam Begins June 21: Things to carry for NEET exam 2026

Candidates are allowed to carry necessary documents to the exam centre and certain other items if required, as per the NTA guidelines. The things to carry for NEET exam 2026 are given below: 

  • Candidates must carry their admit card, one original valid photo ID, and two passport-size photographs for affixing on the attendance sheet.

Re-NEET UG 2026 Exam Begins June 21: NEET dress code for male 2026

NTA has prescribed a certain dress code for the male candidates appearing for the NEET re-exam 2026. The dress code for the male candidates is given below: 

  • Male candidates should wear simple and comfortable clothes on exam day.
  • Candidates can wear articles of faith such as kalawas, etc., but should report to the exam centre early for frisking. 
  • Full-sleeve clothing, jackets, sweaters, and layered outfits should be avoided unless medically necessary.
