NEET 2026 Concluded Successfully

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 was successfully concluded today, i.e., May 3, 2026 with a record-breaking turnout of candidates across the country. Approximately 22.79 lakh candidates registered, surpassing last year’s numbers. NTA reported an attendance of 96.92% in NEET UG 2026 (22,05,035 of 22,75,011 candidates were present). The exam was conducted with strict biometric checks and enhanced security measures to ensure fairness and prevent malpractices. To manage the large-scale examination smoothly, the National Testing Agency (NTA) deployed over 2 lakh personnel across 5,432 centres, along with 674 city coordinators and 6,000 observers to monitor the process without any disruptions.

The NEET UG 2026 examination saw participation from candidates across 551 cities, and scores will be accepted by more than 1,257 medical colleges. The number of MBBS seats has crossed 1,24,756 in 2025, with further increase expected this year. Along with MBBS, admissions will also be offered for BDS, AYUSH, and Nursing courses, reflecting the growing opportunities in medical education across India.

NEET UG 2026 Result

The NEET 2026 result expected by June 12, around 40 days after the exam on the official website. Candidates will be able to check their results using their application number and date of birth. The result will include important details such as subject-wise marks, total score, percentile, and All India Rank.

Based on the result, a merit list will be prepared for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses. Qualified candidates will then participate in the counselling process conducted at the All India and state levels. It is advised to download and keep a copy of the scorecard for future admission procedures.

NEET UG 2026 Counselling

The counselling process will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee for All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while state authorities will handle state quota counselling. Candidates must:

  • Fill college and course preferences
  • Participate in multiple counselling rounds
  • Accept allotted seats and report to colleges
