Nirma University Ahmedabad has extended the online application deadline for both BTech and Integrated BTech-MBA (Five Year) programmes to May 16, 2026. BTech applicants from Gujarat pay Rs. 350, while those from outside Gujarat pay Rs. 1,200.
Nirma University, Ahmedabad has announced an extension of the online application deadline for both its BTech and Integrated BTech-MBA (Five Year) programmes to May 16, 2026.
Candidates seeking admission must complete their online registration and submit applications through the official admission portal at admissions-it.nirmauni.ac.in.
Payment must be made online via credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI. All candidates are required to submit complete applications with necessary documents before the extended deadline.
The BTech programme application fee varies based on candidate location. Candidates who appeared in 12th board examination from schools located in Gujarat (including Daman, Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli UT) must pay Rs. 350 (non-refundable). Candidates who appeared from schools located outside Gujarat must pay Rs. 1,200 (non-refundable).
The programme offers eight engineering specializations: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with AI & Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design), and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
The Integrated BTech-MBA (Five Year) programme has a uniform application fee of Rs. 1,500 (non-refundable) for all candidates in All India and NRI/NRI-Sponsored categories.
The programme offers two specializations: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) MBA with 60 total seats (51 all-India, 9 NRI/NRI-sponsored) and Mechanical Engineering (ME) MBA with 60 total seats (51 all-India, 9 NRI/NRI-sponsored). This five-year integrated programme combines technical engineering expertise with comprehensive management education.

For BTech programme, candidates must have passed 12th Science examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry, Biology, Computer, or Technical Vocational Subject from a single recognized board.
For BTech-MBA programme, candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent examination with minimum 60% marks along with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at first attempt from a single recognized board. All India category candidates must have appeared for Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2026 examination and secured an All-India Rank (CRL).
NRI candidates who passed qualifying examination from schools located abroad are exempted from JEE (Main) 2026 but must produce an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
Nirma University BTech/BTech MBA Admissions 2026 Application Process and Required Documentation
Candidates must register a new account on the admission portal to access the online application form. Login credentials will be used for filling the admission form and checking application status throughout the process.
After successful login, applicants should complete the online application form with all required information and upload scanned copies of necessary documents including passport-size photograph, SSC mark-sheet, HSC mark-sheet, school leaving certificate, and JEE (Main) 2026 documents.
The application must be submitted along with the applicable fee before May 16, 2026. Incomplete applications or those lacking required documents will not be accepted as per Nirma University, Ahmedabad guidelines.
Nirma University BTech/BTech MBA Admissions 2026 Selection Procedure and Merit Criteria
For BTech All India category candidates, merit is determined based on All-India Rank (CRL) in Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2026. For BTech-MBA programme, the final merit is calculated using three weighted criteria: 50% weightage of NTA Score from JEE (Main) 2026, 30% weightage of performance in Personal Interview, and 20% weightage of academic performance in qualifying examination.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on JEE (Main) performance and must appear for a mandatory Personal Interview. For NRI candidates in BTech-MBA, merit is based solely on qualifying examination performance without JEE (Main) requirement.
