FMS BHU Result 2026 is out. The Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University has released the MBA/MBA-IB merit list for the 2026-28 batch on April 23, 2026.

The result comprises 534 qualified candidates ranked based on their final composite scores calculated from CAT performance, academic records, group discussion, and personal interview evaluations.

Candidates can download both the general merit list and category-wise merit lists from the official BHU website at bhu.ac.in.

The merit list ranking is based on a comprehensive composite score combining multiple evaluation parameters. The final composite score comprises scaled CAT score (50% weightage), academic records (20% weightage), and group discussion plus personal interview combined (30% weightage).

The top-ranked candidate in the general merit list achieved a composite score of 61.823, while the highest-ranked general category candidate scored 58.369.

This holistic evaluation approach ensures that candidates with strong academic backgrounds, excellent CAT performance, and superior communication skills are selected for admission.

How to Check FMS BHU Result 2026?

• Candidates must visit the official MBA admission portal of Banaras Hindu University at bhumbaadm.samarth.edu.in and access the login page.
• They are required to enter their registered email ID/application number and password to log in to the dashboard.
• After successful login, candidates should navigate to the “Application Status” or “Admission Dashboard” section, where the result status is displayed.
• The portal will indicate whether the candidate is selected, waitlisted, or not selected based on the final merit list.
• Candidates must carefully check details such as selection status, merit position (if available), and admission instructions provided on the dashboard.
• In case of selection, they should proceed with the fee payment and document verification steps within the given deadline.
• It is important for candidates to regularly monitor the portal for updates, counselling instructions, and further admission rounds, as all official communication is primarily shared through the Samarth dashboard.

Category-Wise Merit Lists and Representation

The MBA programme charges Rs. 50,007 for the first year and Rs. 49,281 for the second year under the regular fee scheme. Candidates opting for paid seats must pay Rs. 1,50,000 annually in addition to the regular fee structure.

The two-year full-time programme is structured into four semesters with comprehensive coursework covering management fundamentals, specialisations, and practical applications. Both MBA and MBA-IB programmes follow identical admission criteria and fee structures as per the official information bulletin.

What’s Next for Students

Candidates appearing in the merit list will receive admission offers in multiple rounds based on seat availability and candidate preferences. The first round of allotment will commence immediately following the merit list declaration.

Candidates who receive allotment offers must accept or reject their seats within the specified timeline through the official admission portal at bhumbaadm.samarth.edu.in.

Document verification and fee payment must be completed to confirm final admission before the academic session begins in July 2026.
