NIT Mizoram has opened MTech admissions for 2026-27 through Institute Mode for full-time and part-time candidates. Both GATE and Non-GATE applicants can apply online at admission.nitmz.ac.in for vacant seats across five specialisations.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram has opened admissions to its Master of Technology (M.Tech) Programme 2026-27 through Institute Mode. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official admission portal at admission.nitmz.ac.in. The notification includes both Full-Time and Part-Time M.Tech programmes.
Institute Mode admissions are conducted to fill vacant seats remaining after the final round of the Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT) 2026. According to the official notification, both GATE-qualified and Non-GATE candidates are eligible to apply for admission in the 2026-27 academic session.

NIT Mizoram is inviting applications across five engineering disciplines covering both core and advanced technology areas.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline. Candidates holding an MCA or M.Sc. degree in allied subjects may also be eligible wherever permitted under programme-specific rules. Applicants should carefully review the discipline-wise eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification.
Under Institute Mode Admission, both GATE-qualified and Non-GATE candidates can apply. The Full-Time M.Tech programme is suitable for fresh graduates and eligible candidates seeking higher studies, while the Part-Time programme is designed for working professionals employed in industry, government departments, and academic institutions.

Candidates must complete the application process through the online admission portal only.

Selection Process for Institute Mode Admission
