Nagaland University opens online registration for B.Ed CET 2026 from April 27 to May 25, 2026. The entrance examination will be conducted on July 11, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM across three examination centers in Kohima, Dimapur, and Mokokchung.

Nagaland University has announced the Common Entrance Test (CET) for B.Ed admission to the 2026-28 academic session. Online applications are now being accepted from eligible candidates seeking admission to the two-year B.Ed regular course across government and private teacher education colleges in Nagaland.
Candidates can apply online at nagalanduniversity.ac.in for complete details. The application process commenced on April 27, 2026, and will remain open until May 25, 2026.
The CET B.Ed (Nagaland) 2026 is designed to select qualified candidates for 585 total seats distributed across eight teacher education colleges in the state. The entrance test will be conducted in English medium only, featuring 100 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each.
Part A comprises 60 common questions covering Teaching Aptitude (20 questions), General Awareness and Reasoning (20 questions), and Language Proficiency in English (20 questions).
Part B contains 40 subject-specific questions based on the candidate's chosen pedagogy Mathematics, Science, Social Science, or English up to graduation level syllabi of Nagaland University. The examination duration is two hours.

Candidates from the OBC and Open categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 800. The fee must be deposited into the designated Nagaland University account before submitting the online application form.
Candidates must be Indian citizens and hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) from a recognized university. Candidates with engineering degrees having 55% marks and studied Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are also eligible for Mathematics or Science pedagogy.
The entrance examination will be conducted at three centers: Kohima, Dimapur, and Mokokchung. However, the Convener reserves the right to allot candidates to alternative centers if unavoidable circumstances arise. A total of 585 seats are available across eight colleges.
Nagaland B.Ed CET 2026 Merit List Preparation and Admission Process
A pedagogy-wise merit list will be prepared based on entrance test marks obtained by candidates. In case of tied marks, Part B scores will be considered for ranking determination. If a further tie occurs, the candidate who submitted the application first will receive priority based on application number.
The rank obtained in CET B.Ed (Nagaland)-2026 is valid only for the 2026-2028 academic session. During admission through seat allotment, every candidate must deposit Rs. 500 as a counseling fee to participate in the counseling process.
The fee for confirming seats in B.Ed colleges will be announced in the merit list and adjusted in semester fees by the respective college. There is no cut-off or qualifying marks; admission is based on merit and seat availability in the desired pedagogy according to candidate qualifications.

Admit cards will be issued between June 1 and 7, 2026, and candidates must verify all details on their admit cards, including examination center, date, and time. Results will be declared on July 20, 2026, followed by document verification and seat allotment on July 31, 2026.
The academic session will commence on August 10, 2026. Candidates should prepare thoroughly for all sections of the entrance examination, particularly focusing on their chosen pedagogy subject matter up to graduation level.
