Ethiraj College for Women, an autonomous institution affiliated to University of Madras, has officially started admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2026-2027.

The college offers 30 undergraduate programmes, 26 postgraduate programmes including MBA and MCA, and 10 PhD programmes. Candidates can apply online through the official website, Ethiraj College for Women Official Website.

The application fee for UG and PG programmes is ₹50 (non-refundable). SC/ST candidates applying under the Aided stream are exempted from the application fee, subject to submission of required documents. Admissions are conducted on a first-come-first-served basis for both Aided and Self-Supporting streams.

Candidates applying for undergraduate programmes must have passed the Class 12 examination under the 10+2 system from a recognised board. The college has advised applicants to carefully check the programme-wise eligibility criteria before applying.

The institution offers UG courses, including: B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, BBA, BCA. Admissions to UG programmes are primarily based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Candidates seeking admission to postgraduate programmes must possess a relevant undergraduate degree from a recognised institution or university. The college offers postgraduate programmes including: M.A, M.Sc., M.Com, MBA, MCA.

Admission to most PG courses is merit-based, while MBA and MCA admissions require valid TANCET 2026 scores. Candidates applying for MBA admission must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Madras or any recognised university. TANCET 2026 marks are mandatory for admission.

Candidates who have completed programmes such as BCA, BES, B.Sc. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Applied Sciences, and several other eligible degree combinations may apply for MCA admissions. Candidates with Mathematics at the Higher Secondary level are also eligible under specified categories.

How to Apply for Ethiraj College Admissions 2026?

Candidates should visit Ethiraj College Admissions Portal and click on the “Apply Now” option. Applicants must fill in the required details, upload the prescribed documents, preview the application form carefully, and submit it online. Payment can be made through: Net Banking, IMPS, Debit/Credit Card, Paytm, BillDesk

Applicants must upload:

• Valid Aadhaar linked with mobile number
• Recent passport-size photograph (100 KB, JPG/GIF format, 125 × 165 pixels)
• Valid email ID and mobile number

The institution has clarified that photographs in school uniform and selfies will not be accepted. Once submitted, application forms cannot be edited or corrected. The college has also stated that submission of an application does not guarantee admission. The college has advised candidates to ensure all details are entered correctly, as no changes will be permitted after submission. The college has stated that candidates may apply for multiple programmes in both Aided and Self-Supporting streams by submitting separate applications for each course.
