YSPUHF has opened admission for the academic session 2026-27 for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduate applications are accepted till June 6, 2026 for normal and self-financing seats, and till July 18, 2026 for self-financing seats.

Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry (YSPUHF) has opened admission for the academic session 2026-27 for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Candidates can apply online through the official university website at yspuniversity.ac.in for various B.Sc., B.Tech, and M.Sc. programs offered across four colleges. The university invites applications from eligible candidates seeking admission to horticulture, forestry, biotechnology, and food technology programs.
The undergraduate admission process includes an entrance test scheduled for June 21, 2026 for normal seat candidates. Self-financing seats are filled based on 10+2 marks and are open at the national level. Postgraduate admissions are based on merit and eligibility criteria specified by the university for various M.Sc. disciplines.

Undergraduate Programs and Eligibility
Candidates must have passed 10+2 with science subjects or equivalent qualification from a recognized board with a minimum 60% aggregate marks. The university offers B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture, B.Sc. (Hons) Forestry, B.Sc. Ag. (Hons) Natural Farming, B.Tech Biotechnology, and B.Tech Food Technology programs. Normal seats are available only for bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh, while self-financing seats are open to candidates from across India.
The university has four colleges offering undergraduate programs: College of Horticulture Nauni, College of Forestry Nauni, College of Horticulture & Forestry Neri, and College of Horticulture & Forestry Thunag. Special reservation categories include wards of CAPF personnel, single girl child, sports achievers, and candidates from North Eastern States. Additional seats are reserved for orphaned children from Himachal Pradesh.
Postgraduate Programs and Eligibility
Candidates with B.Sc. Horticulture, B.Sc. Forestry, B.Sc. Agriculture, B.Tech Food Science & Technology, or related qualifications can apply for M.Sc. programs. A minimum OGPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks in the qualifying degree is required for postgraduate admission. The university offers 24 M.Sc. disciplines including Fruit Science, Vegetable Science, Floriculture & Landscaping, and Forest Resource Management.
Counselling for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be conducted in multiple rounds starting from August 2026. Classes for all programs are scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026.
