There is Something

Likes

Clubs where everyone works as a team and they offer a good experience.
Fests are a common postive things when speaking of an IIT.

Dislikes

Mess food is not as good as expected mainly for South Indians.
Not everyone is involved in every activity and there is no one to motivate them.

College offers white variety of careers. They include research-based, product profiles, and mainly Software developers. Our alumni work at a few large companies like Google, Amazon, Jio, Zomato, Microsoft, etc.

Likes

I like clubs in our college with out clubs and friends I could not survive in campus.
Culture in campus is unique as we have senior junior bonding very high

Dislikes

Very strict administration not student friendly.
Faculty could be better some are good but most lack some aspect

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent but not worth an IIT as we have talented people but no one to recruit us. If in case any company sees this review consider IIT Dhanbad for recruiting. companies like Google, Amazon, Oracle, Barclays, Atlassian come to hire

My college experience.

Likes

Central library the second largest library in the asia .
The greenery campus and the co curricular activities that goes on in the campus .The events ,the festivals are all celebrated here. Getting to kearn the different cultures.
The alumni network that builds and the connections you get is so strong that one will get good exploration.

Placement Experience:

Companies like Google, Microsoft, Deshaw, Samsung, Amazon, J P Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Bajaj, sprinkler, oracle, Zomato etc. The no of offers made was 1154 the highest package was around 56 lakhs and the average package was around 16.98 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 93 -95 %.

My college of dream

Likes

campus life is amazing and enjoyable its really very enjoying to roam around with your friends.
cultural events are very joyful and gives fun .
greenery of campus is very soothing and relaxing to mind.

Dislikes

non availability of airport in dhanbad creates problems
dhanbad is poor has no places for sight seeing.
non availability of pure veg restaurants

Course Curriculum Overview:

computer science is open to all companies and it is the best branch in all colleges. The faculties are quite good some of the subjects like dsa are very interesting while some subjects like co are quite difficult and boring. It's difficult to score cgpa greater than 9. One semester lasts for about 4 months which we find a little rushed up.

I liked the greenery of the campus and its gardens.

Dislikes

I did not like the food in the hostel, for sports we should know how to play well then only we get chance to play.

Placement Experience:

The placement percentage is almost 98 to 100 percent in some branches, with off campus as well as on-campus. The avg package is 1900000Rs and on-campus internship opportunities are also there for the students.

IIT(ISM) - spreading its legacy

Likes

The clubs here are extremely vibrant and keeps the happy wind blowing in the campus
The campus is very green and clean. This keeps us happy to avoid visiting somewhere outside for chilling after a long hectic day
The placements and internships here are excellent and motivating for all

Dislikes

There are a lot of people here and everyone keeps competing one another.
There are a lot of stray dogs in the campus that need to be taken care of.
mess foods in some hostels are not at par. The in time for hostels is strictly 12 am and for the campus main gate it is 10 pm.

Placement Experience:

Placements at an iit has always been extraordinary breaching new heights every year. Our college has also seen great placements for a decade with almost every student doing a good job and many big tech giants like Microsoft and google visiting us.

Review on IIT ISM DHANBAD

Likes

I liked it planned sequence of teaching that i got here and its rule and regulation for the students.
It offers many offers to me for explore it and learn something new in my caree.
It helps me for looks ahead for the my bright future and give many offers me to look and search for innovation.

Dislikes

It strictness regarding its attendence and many more.
Sometime it gives more assignments as we donot expected.
Its timing for the classes conduction for the third year students.

Placement Experience:

It provides many placement opportunities to the students. The students who study in the 3rd year are eligible for the placement or from 6 sem. Many companies namely google, sprinkler, tomato, and many more visit the campus for placements. The average package is min 1900000 per year and out of the total students, up to 50% of students got placed with the maximum level of package.

Likes

Campus , Sports facilities , freedom and obviously placements
Powerfull alumni with very good research development
Different people from corners of the country and many interactions with them

Dislikes

Infrastructure (as it is an old campus )
Incoming to college before 10PM from outside
Food will be okay but not as good as expected

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite decent in the college and as an iit , this clg currently holds nirf 17 (around) and is a very good internship chances. Many more companies visit for the placements and internships and many get high packages and some get avg packages around 20LPA

Hostel food somedays, and cost of living in Dhanbad
I expected the average package of any CSE student in an IIT would be not less than 50 lakh, but I am wrong.

I chose this course as this is the best option I got in JoSAA counseling. Computer Science and Engineering is my first choice. So I got it here. Faculty are all aptly qualified and some even go further in pursuing research and winning awards at the international level. Exams were like, well, more knowledge-based than memory based same way as the other IITs.

Nice experience

Likes

Campus is very lush green ,staffs are very supportive and seniors too.
And the last thing is cleanliness of the campus
You will have access to high tech technologies to work upon

Dislikes

Since college is very old ,so some of the buildings are old model
You will be packed in your hostel after 12pm
There is no such hanging market near campus

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, I guess, you will be eligible for placements. There are around 1100 offers made during the 2022-23 placement seasons. The highest on-campus placement was 56 lacs and the average package was around 19 lacs .approx 90 percent of students got placed on my campus. after getting my degree, I hope to get a job in the IT sector with a decent package.
