IIT Dhanbad Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The main reason for choosing a computer science degree is good placement and intership opportunities. The coding culture at IIT ISM Dhanbad is very good and we have a coding society here, in which branch seniors take weekly classes and teach important concepts related to competitive programming.

College placements have seen a book in the past few years. It has improved significantly year by year. Placements of the computer science and engineering branch reach as high as 97% with an average income of ? 15,00,000 per annum.

The Placements at IITISM are very good. The placement starts in December in the 7th semester. This year on day 0 and day 1 and including the pre-placement offers total of 540 students are placed and the count is still increasing in phase 2 of the placement (currently running). in pre-placement offers, the median salary offered was 30 lakhs. and for overall placements, it is 17 lakhs. The major companies hiring are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, etc. According to the treads of previous years, At the end around 900 students are placed and for the CSE branch, the placement percentage is 100%. I have currently got A summer Internship offer at Walmart. and I want to get PPO at Walmart and want to become a Software developer at a tech giant.

Placements are good since the students are good coders generally but online sems are creating issues for some students since GPA restriction is used for most of the companies. About 50% of students get placements.

The placements at our college are one of the best in the country. All the companies come to college for placements. The highest package till date at the college is 8 lacks per annum. Around 96 percentage of students gets placed every year.

6th semester, Microsoft google and others nearly 95% of cse gets placed In cse highest package is 52lpa from google. Avg would be around 14-16lpa for cse. 96% of students get placed. Job is only my plan from now.

The placements for earth science branches is very good when compared to other colleges. The highest package offered this year is 90 LPA (off-campus placement, the on-campus highest on-campus placement is 54.57 LPA).

First of all, ISM became an IIT college in 2016, and after there is a lot of improvement. In 2019 Highest pkg was 39 LPA. But this year even in lockdown 24 students of our college got placed in 45 LPA (domestic). And 4 students in the off-campus placement of CSE departments got 54.57 LPA package and this year many students got package above than 25 LPA.

Students become eligible for placements during the engine of their third year. The placements statistics are really mind-blowing. This year the placements broke all past records and the highest-paid packages were 90 lakhs and 81 lakhs for the Computer Science department. The placement offered by my College is among the best among other IITs. Almost all students in all branches who apply for placement get places. For this year 699 students have already been placed. 154 have got placed in off-campus opportunities. 142 students have opted for higher studies in India or abroad. Since the total strength is 1200 students. So about 83% of students get placed. My plan after the course is to apply for placement in a Multi-National Company.

From the second year, the students are eligible for internships. There are companies like Juspay, Bloomberg, Tata that give internships. The highest package in 2021 is 90 LPA. More than 150 companies come to campus. Above 96% of students got placed. The average package of on-campus placements is 12 -17 LPA.
