NTA has opened a portal till June 30 for reporting fake paper leak claims and fraud linked to NEET UG 2026. The re-exam will be held on June 21 as scheduled despite Telegram-based scams.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a fraud reporting portal for NEET UG 2026. The portal is live on the official website at nta.ac.in. It allows candidates and the public to report exam-related fraud. The reporting window runs from June 14 to June 30, 2026.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 re-exam is set for June 21, 2026. Nearly 22 lakh medical aspirants are expected to appear in the test. The portal targets organised scams that surface ahead of the exam day.
NTA has stated that no individual has prior access to NEET UG question papers. Candidates have been asked to rely only on official sources for all updates.

What the NEET UG 2026 Fraud Portal Covers
The portal accepts complaints from candidates, parents, coaching staff, and the general public. Reports can be filed from any mobile or desktop browser. The portal stays open daily during the reporting window.
The following can be flagged on the portal:
- Unauthorised websites claiming access to NEET UG 2026 papers
- Social media accounts selling alleged leaked question content
- Channels offering papers or guaranteed results in exchange for money
- Persons impersonating NTA officials or examination staff
- Fake admission promises tied to bribery or insider claims
NTA will verify each complaint before taking it forward. Serious cases will be passed to law enforcement agencies for action.
Why Telegram Has Been Restricted in India
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has restricted Telegram access in India. The restriction will remain in force until June 22, 2026. Telegram's message-editing feature has been disabled until June 30, 2026.
The directions were issued under Section 69A of the IT Act 2000. NTA and the Department of Higher Education had jointly recommended the move. The order is a limited and time-bound measure linked to the re-exam.
NTA has flagged the misuse of Telegram by organised paper-leak fraudsters. Several channels were openly selling fake NEET UG papers to anxious students. Identified fake channels carried names such as PAPER LEAKED NEET and Re-NEET 2026.
Some operators were also misusing the message-edit feature on Telegram. They edited older posts to insert fake papers after the exam day. The original timestamp stayed intact, making the leak look genuine.

NTA Clarifies on Re-Examination Schedule
Social media rumours had hinted at a further postponement of the re-exam. NTA has firmly rejected all such claims. The agency has confirmed that NEET UG 2026 will be held on June 21. No change in the question paper or schedule is planned.
Exam-centre security has been tightened for the re-test. Mobile phones, smartwatches, and digital devices will be barred from the centres. Frisking and biometric verification will be carried out at every centre.

- Enter the URL or details of the suspicious source.
