CENTAC Puducherry has rescheduled the PNET 2026 BSc Nursing entrance exam from June 14 to July 5, 2026. The postponement avoids clash with the NEET UG re-examination on June 21, 2026.
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry, has rescheduled the Puducherry Nursing Entrance Test (PNET) 2026 to July 5, 2026. The revised schedule was issued on the official CENTAC portal at centacpuducherry.in. The exam was earlier scheduled for June 14, 2026.
PNET 2026 is the Common Entrance Test for admission to BSc Nursing Government Quota seats. It covers government and private self-financing nursing colleges in Puducherry for the academic year 2026-27. The exam is conducted through the Board of Examination of Nurses.
The earlier official notice on the CENTAC portal stated that the BSc Nursing entrance test scheduled on 14.06.2026 stands postponed. A fresh schedule was then released on June 12, 2026, fixing the new exam date.
Why PNET 2026 Was Postponed
The rescheduling follows the National Testing Agency's announcement of a NEET UG re-examination on June 21, 2026. The earlier PNET date overlapped closely with this NEET UG re-test window. CENTAC moved the BSc Nursing entrance to avoid a clash for candidates appearing for both exams.
Many BSc Nursing aspirants in Puducherry also register for NEET UG. The new date gives them a clear two-week gap after the NEET UG re-examination.

Who Does This Affect?
The revised date applies to all candidates who registered for the PNET 2026 BSc Nursing entrance. CENTAC had earlier extended the last date for application submission through a notice issued on May 27, 2026.
Candidates already holding admit cards for June 14 must wait for fresh instructions. CENTAC will publish updated admit card details on its portal closer to the new exam date.
