The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has opened admissions for its Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctoral (PhD) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. As per the official admission notices uploaded on the university website at nehu.ac.in/admission/announcement, the last date to submit applications is July 6, 2026.
The notices cover two streams. One notice lists MA, MBA, MSc, Diploma, and other Master programmes. The second notice lists B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, MCA, MSc Biotechnology, and PhD programmes under the School of Technology.
NEHU is a central university based in Shillong, Meghalaya. It serves students from across the North-East region and the rest of India.

How to Apply for NEHU 2026 Admission?
Candidates must apply only through the official NEHU admission portal. Offline applications are not accepted. The steps are listed below.
- Visit the official portal at nehu.ac.in/admission.
- Open the relevant admission notice for your programme.
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Fill in the application form with academic and personal details.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents.
- Pay the application fee online using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page.

Selection Basis for NEHU 2026
NEHU uses different national entrance exam scores for different programmes. The official prospectus lists the accepted exams.
