Chandigarh University has announced an extension of CUCET 2026 Phase 1 registration deadline to June 15, 2026. Candidates must complete their online registration on the official website cucet.cuchd.in before the final deadline.
CUCET 2026 is an entrance-cum-scholarship examination for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Chandigarh University. The exam offers scholarships worth ₹250 crore with maximum scholarship of 100% for top performers. Candidates scoring between 90.01 to 100 marks will receive 100% scholarship under Phase 1.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board. For postgraduate programs, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. There is no upper age limit for applying to CUCET 2026. Candidates scoring 90% or above in qualifying exam or ranking within top 50,000 in JEE are exempted from CUCET.
How to Register for CUCET 2026?
- Visit the official CUCET website at cucet.cuchd.in to begin registration.
- Click on the application form link and create your profile with valid email and mobile number.
- Fill in all required details including campus preference, discipline, and program selection.
- Pay the registration fee of ₹1,000 which includes digital prospectus copy.
- Submit the form and save your confirmation details for future reference.
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) require CUCET qualification. Integrated Law Programs (BA+LLB, BBA+LLB, B.Com+LLB) also mandate CUCET scores. Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Pharmacy, and Pharm D. programs require CUCET qualification. Master of Physiotherapy and Master of Optometry also require CUCET scores for admission.

CUCET 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus Overview
CUCET 2026 exam covers English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge. The syllabus is based on 12th class level topics for undergraduate programs. For postgraduate programs, the exam includes subject-specific topics relevant to the chosen discipline. Candidates should focus on Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English for engineering programs.
What’s Next for Students
Candidates should download their admit card from the official website using application number and date of birth. Verify all details on admit card including name, exam center, and date carefully. Carry valid government-issued ID proof along with admit card to exam center. Arrive at exam center at least 30 minutes before exam start time. Bring black and blue ballpoint pens as CUCET is conducted in pen-and-paper format.
Results will be declared within 24 hours of exam completion on the Chandigarh University official website. Candidates can download their score card using application number and date of birth. Merit list will be prepared by participating universities based on CUCET scores.
