IIITM Gwalior PhD Admission 2026 Round 2 Open at iiitm.ac.in; Check Last Date to Apply

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior has opened Round 2 of its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) admission for the Odd Semester 2026-27. Eligible candidates can apply through the official website at iiitm.ac.in till June 19, 2026.

This round covers full-time and part-time PhD seats in three departments. These are Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). The written test and personal interview are scheduled for July 16, 2026, at the institute campus in Gwalior.

As per the official notification, non-GATE and non-NET applicants are also permitted to apply. Selection will be made through a written test followed by a presentation-cum-interview round.

The application fee must be paid online through SBI Collect before submitting the Google Form. The fee is non-refundable and varies by category.

How to Apply for IIITM Gwalior PhD 2026 Round 2?

Candidates must complete the application in three stages. The first two steps are online and the third is completed on the test day.

1. Pay the application fee online through SBI Collect, accessed via the institute homepage.
2. Fill the online application form on the relevant Google Form link for full-time or part-time PhD.
3. Carry a printed hard copy of the form, the signed undertaking, and the fee receipt to the written test.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution. The exact qualifying marks and discipline mapping are listed in the official advertisement PDF.

Importantly, the institute has clarified that candidates without a valid GATE or NET score may also apply this round. Such candidates will be assessed entirely through the written test and interview process.

What Is the Selection Process?

Shortlisted applicants must appear at the IIITM Gwalior campus on July 16, 2026. The day-long process has two stages.

The first stage is a written test that checks the candidate's subject knowledge in the chosen department. The second stage is a research presentation followed by a personal interview with the selection panel.
