NTA has prescribed clear instructions to be followed by the candidates on the exam day. Recently, NTA has released an advisory related to biometrics at the exam centres.
- The candidates should ensure to reach the exam centre on or before reporting time to enable frisking.
- The candidates can carry only the necessary documents such as an admit card, a photograph and a valid identity proof.
- The electronic items, such as mobile phones, digital watches, and Bluetooth devices, are not allowed inside the exam centres.
- If biometric of a candidate cannot be completed due to a technical failure, then the candidate will be permitted to enter the examination room.
- Candidates should wear light and plain clothes with slippers as footwear for smooth entry to the exam centre.

NTA has prescribed a dress code for the NEET UG 2026. The dress code released by the NTA is given below:

NTA has released the advisory for the dress code and the permissible items at the exam centre on its official website on April 30, 2026.
- The candidates can carry transparent water bottles and the necessary documents, such as the admit card.
- Candidates are allowed to wear objects of religious faith, subject to early reporting to enable frisking.
- Light clothing is preferred. However, candidates who feel needed can also wear full sleeves or woollens.
- Slippers and low heels are the preferred choice for footwear.

The NEET UG admit card has already been released by the NTA on April 26. Candidates who have not yet downloaded their NEET 2026 admit card should do so immediately from the official website. Entry to the exam centre will not be allowed without a valid admit card and required documents.
