The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the NCET 2026 examination on April 17 and 18, 2026 in computer-based test (CBT) mode across 13 languages. The provisional answer key will be released soon on the official website exams.nta.nic.in/ncet.
Candidates who appeared in the exam can download the answer key and recorded response sheets from the portal. The final answer key will be prepared after reviewing all challenges submitted by candidates.
NCET 2026 is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programs (ITEP) at various institutions across India.
The exam assesses candidates' knowledge in teaching aptitude, subject expertise, and general awareness required for teacher education. NTA will display recorded responses and provisional answer keys on its official website, enabling candidates to verify their answers and identify potential errors.
The answer key challenge process allows candidates to raise objections against incorrect answers within a specified timeframe.

NCET 2026 Exam Format
NCET 2026 was conducted in computer-based mode with questions available in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
The exam tests candidates' aptitude for teaching, subject knowledge, and general awareness required for integrated teacher education programs.
Candidates received their admit cards on April 13, 2026, which contained essential information including exam center details, timing, and instructions.
The exam was conducted across multiple exam centers nationwide to ensure accessibility for all eligible candidates.
How to Download the NCET 2026 Answer Key After Its Release?
- Candidates can download the NCET 2026 provisional answer key by visiting the official NTA website exams.nta.nic.in/ncet and logging in with their application number and password.
- The answer key will be available in PDF format for all shifts and sets of the examination. Candidates should carefully compare their responses with the official answer key to estimate their performance.
- The recorded response sheet will also be displayed, showing exactly what answers were marked by each candidate during the exam.
Candidates who disagree with any answer in the provisional answer key can raise objections through the official portal.
Each challenge requires a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. Candidates must submit their challenges within the specified timeframe announced by NTA on its website.
After reviewing all challenges and expert opinions, NTA will release the final answer key, which will be used for result preparation and merit list generation. The final answer key is binding and cannot be challenged further.
NTA will declare the NCET 2026 result in May 2026 on the official website, with the exact date to be announced soon.
