UCEED 2026 Round 1 seat allotment for Bachelor of Design programs has been announced on April 21, 2026. Candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the BDes portal. Seat acceptance fee must be paid by April 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released the Round 1 seat allotment for UCEED 2026 BDes admissions on April 21, 2026. Candidates who qualified in UCEED 2026 and applied for Bachelor of Design programmes can now check their allotment status by logging into the official portal. The allotment includes institute-wise opening and closing ranks for all participating institutes such as IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee, and IIITDM Jabalpur.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat must accept their admission and pay the seat acceptance fee by April 29, 2026 (6:00 PM) to secure their position. The payment link and details have been shared with candidates via registered email IDs, and the fee must be paid through the official portal. Failure to complete the payment within the deadline will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat, and the candidate will not be considered for further rounds.

The seat allotment process will be conducted in multiple rounds, with subsequent rounds scheduled in May, June, and July 2026. Candidates who do not accept a seat in Round 1 or opt for upgradation will be considered in the next rounds.

Candidates can choose between FREEZE and FLOAT options while accepting their seat. The FREEZE option confirms the allotted institute and removes the candidate from further rounds, while the FLOAT option allows candidates to retain their current seat but remain eligible for upgradation in subsequent rounds.

Note: Seats are allocated across General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST categories, with an additional 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates.

The seat acceptance fee is INR 60,000 for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and INR 15,000 for SC/ST/PwD candidates. Candidates who accept seats in Round I or II can withdraw within the specified deadline and will be eligible for a refund after deduction of processing charges.

Applicants are advised to rely only on the official UCEED website for updates and avoid any fraudulent communication regarding admissions or payments. After successful payment, candidates will be able to download their provisional seat allotment letter from the login portal.

The Round II seat allotment will be announced on May 19, 2026, and candidates should regularly check the official website for further updates and instructions.
