Online applications for SKUAST-K undergraduate programmes are open until May 10, 2026 (11:59 PM). The entrance exam (except B.Tech AI in Agriculture) is scheduled for May 31, 2026 at Srinagar and Jammu centres.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) has opened online applications for 14 undergraduate degree programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.

Eligible candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, NRI-sponsored, and other states-UTs can apply through the official SKUAST-K admission portal (skuastkashmir.in/IUMS/applicant).

The application window closes on May 10, 2026 at 11:59 PM, and the entrance exam is scheduled for May 31, 2026 (tentative) at examination centres in Srinagar and Jammu.

The online application fee is INR 1,500 for General and NRI-sponsored/other states-UTs candidates, and INR 1,000 for reserved category candidates. For B.Tech AI in Agriculture, the fee is INR 1,000 (General) and INR 750 (Reserved).

SKUAST-K is inviting applications for undergraduate programmes including BVSc & AH, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Horticulture, B.Sc Forestry, B.Sc Sericulture, B.Sc Biochemistry, B.Sc Microbiology, B.Tech Food Technology, B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Dairy Technology, B.Sc Economics & Data Science, B.Tech Agricultural Engineering, and B.Tech AI in Agriculture (jointly with IIT Mandi).

Domiciles of J&K will appear for the University Entrance Test (UET), while NRI-sponsored and other states-UTs candidates will be selected based on merit of qualifying examination (10+2) or NEET/JEE Main 2026 scores depending on the programme.

The university is ranked among the top state agricultural universities in India and secured position within the top tier under NIRF-2025 in the Agriculture & Allied Sectors category.

Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Part-II (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board with required subjects (English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics as applicable).

Minimum aggregate marks required: 50% for General category and 40% for reserved category candidates (domiciles of J&K); 50% for NRI-sponsored/other states-UTs in BVSc & AH, B.Tech AI Agriculture, and B.Tech Agricultural Engineering; 60% for other programmes under NRI-S/other states-UTs category.

Candidates must be between 17 and 28 years of age as on December 31, 2026. Those who have appeared or are likely to appear in 10+2 examination can also apply.

SKUAST Srinagar UG Admission 2026 How to Apply?

  • Candidates must visit the SKUAST-K admission portal and register using a valid email ID and mobile number to generate login credentials.
  • After registration, fill the online application form with accurate personal, educational, and programme preference details.
  • Upload required documents as specified in the Information Brochure and pay the application fee through the designated payment gateway.
  • Keep the application reference number for future correspondence and admit card download.
  • Detailed step-by-step application instructions are available on the university website and YouTube tutorials.

After the entrance exam on May 31, 2026, the university will release answer keys and results on its official website. Merit lists will be prepared separately for different categories (domiciles of J&K, NRI-sponsored, and other states-UTs).

Counselling dates and provisional admission procedures will be notified separately on the university website. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official SKUAST-K website (skuastkashmir.ac.in) for updates on admit card release, exam schedule, results, and counselling notifications.
