Ans. Computer Science and Engineering is one of the most preferred streams by the students while pursuing a B.Tech degree. DIT University Dehradun and ITM University Gwalior offer a B.Tech degree to highly efficient students. Admission DIT University: Admissions for the ECE branch is given through merit-based counseling based on the ranking of JEE Main. 10% of seats are reserved for XII board toppers. 10% of seats are reserved for NRI candidates. ITM University: For admission in ITM University Gwalior, applicants have to give the entrance exam named ITM NEST. Infrastructure Facilities DIT University: Project laboratory at DIT University consists of instruments like PCB Prototype Machine, 20 MHz Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyser, Wireless In-site Pro Module, Academic License of MATLAB. ITM University: At ITM Gwalior, the Department laboratory has software like MS SQL server, MSDN, MS Visual Studio, Oracle 9i, Linux 7.2, Win proxy, Turbo C++, Java, etc. Placements DIT University: Top recruiters at DIT University are Google, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Nestle, Deloitte, Hewlett Packard, ThoughtWorks, Mindtree, Optum, HackWithInfy, etc. The highest package received by the student of DIT was 25LPA at Amazon. ITM University: At ITM, two students got packages worth 12 lakh each by Amazon. More than 60,000 placement opportunities have been given to the students by nearly 350 recruiters. Ans. Bharati Vidyapeeth Delhi is better than DIT University for a BTech in CSE. It is under IP university and has better brand recognition. Bharati Vidyapeeth placements are great, especially for CSE. Students usually receive an average CTC of around INR 5 LPA. While the highest package offered to the branch is around INR 12 LPA. Due to the location advantage, the recruiting companies visiting the campus placement is better too. Read more

Ques. What is the average package offered to the B.Tech graduates of VSSUT, Burla and CET, Bhubaneswar?

Ans. CET Bhubaneswar has recently released the placement details according to which a total of 649 job offers were made to 474 students. The highest package offered to graduates stood at INR 44.80 LPA whereas the average package stood at INR 5.85 LPA. The lowest package offered was INR 3 LPA. The Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering students bagged the highest number of offers during CET BBSR placements 2023. VSSUT Burla has not released this year's placement statistics yet so I will be mentioning last year’s for reference. During the placement drive, 773 students received 750 job offers. The company that offered the maximum job offers was GenC followed by Wipro (75) and Infosys (60). Ans. VSSUT and CET are both autonomous universities. Here are some insights on pursuing B.Tech IT at these two- VSSUT is much older. This makes it a bigger brand. But in terms of location, CET is a clear winner. VSSUT is located in the small town of Burla. Burla has no direct air connectivity, and the fastest mode of transport is a 6 hour train journey from Bhubaneswar. Thus, top recruiters hesitate to visit the campus for placements. But the placement stats are good. The students miss out on competitive events and internship opportunities because of the distance from Bhubaneswar.  CET is the only government institute in Bhubaneswar other than IIIT. More recruiters visit its campus during placement season. Samsung, Dell and Toshiba are some of the top companies that visit the CET campus.  In terms of academics, VSSUT offers a flexible curriculum. This allows IT students to opt for a few advanced subjects. CET on the other hand, has a rigid course curriculum.
