Likes

Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.

Dislikes

Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

VSSUT as seen by 2nd years

Likes

For core branches there are better opportunities.
There good faculties with proper teaching experience
There is a dedicated placement cell who is concerned for providing internship and training guidance to students

Dislikes

For computer branches the syllabus is little outdated and the labs are also very poor.
Classroom are also very old even though there are better classrooms. Still old rooms are being used
For core branches this can be the best college to go for in odisha but for tech branches cse it you its better to go for outr Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students after completing 6th semester are given chances to do internship and convert it to ppo A total of around 60 companies visited the campus last year. For core branches tata power ,jsw offers a lot of jobs in tech roles tcs capegemini and other service based companies hires. Also cisco hires via there hiring process. Student have also grabbed placement at amazon and ib like credit suisse and goldman sachs previously. Around 60% students are getting placed every year Last year a total of 650 offers are made. So its better to get a job via campus placement rather than trying off-campus

The quality of infrastructure is much more better.
The placement for students are the best in my prospective.
The teaching method of teachers are good.Especially they take some extra classes for more improvement of student.

Dislikes

One thing is that enjoyment. In our college there is minor seminar classes are held in a month.
Except that there is no other problem face in my college.

The eligibility criteria for campus placement is to secure at least 7.5 cgpa in last semester exam.The companies visited in our college are Infosys,TCS,Tata motor, Ultratech,Mahindra etc.The percentage of student getting placement is 75 percent.

Insights of VSSUT

Likes

I liked the campus. It is little bit interesting and greenary everywhere.
Girls to boys ratio is 7:4 . Students are coming from outside odisha also. That's impressive.
Course curriculum is ok . Interaction is good and core placements is better than cs placement.

Dislikes

I disliked the old infrastructure and small events.
Engagement in campus life should be more fun and attractive. Assignment during exam time is just so heptic.
Learning classes should be big. Hostel food can be improved.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for internships and 7 and 8 semester is for jobs . But we can start from 2nd semester also. It only depends on students. Lowest placement is 3-4lpa. And average is 5-6 lpa . Higher one 43lpa. Number of companies visited is quite good. My plans is getting a govt job.

Review of my college VSSUT

Likes

I liked the teaching style and the faculty behaviour
Also I like the digital classrooms and the management
The placements,other circular activities and the clubs

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the college and the hostel management
Also the fooding System is not so much good

Placement Experience:

In this college it provides placements from after the 5th semistar. Many companies are visited into the college like tata,jindal, Google, Microsoft and Amazon and many more. The average package is is 10 lakh per annum where the highest package is 48 Lakh

Likes

Teachers are so well and humble with students
And it provides good mentorship for better future
And also good curriculum activities for better character development

Dislikes

The structure of clg is good but it can be very good
The Area of the college which includes normal road
And the morning environment is not so good

The campus placement of our college is quite good and from 3rd year onwards campus placement starts and it literally gives us a good hope to build our dream quite peacefully and very well known company also comes here.

Hostel rooms and classroom have good rooms and have well electrical equipments.
College fests are extremely good. The annual function is also good
College has good professors passed out from iit kgp and nitr mostly

Dislikes

Mess food is extremely bad as well as the washeoom
College gym is not well equipped with equipments
Even the lobbies of hostels are nasty and dirty

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester onwards students can sit for placements . But before that we can engage ourselves in internships so that we can nourish ourselves. Highest package went to 18lpa , Average package is 4.6 lpa Total offers is 80

Low fee structure and good return if you work hard you will get 2x in placement what you paid as fee

Dislikes

Management's is poor our govt of odisha is spending huge amount money for our collage but they are not use properly for devlope ment

So In our collage fir cse etc only 3-4 product based company come to come to the campus which offer 12 + lpa salary rest are service based company which offers 3-8 lpa salary .but in core placement is pretty good company like vedanta jsw adani reliance tata all came and recruit student of all core branches package above 7 lakhs so our collage special for core branch iam planing to do higher studies further

Likes

The engagement of mine with the campus life ans the quality of social interactions are really good.
The faculty's expertise of the placement services are very good by me. And they also support the students every moment.

Dislikes

Truly telling the college needs improvement in the fooding system.
The quality of infrastructure is is improving day by day but till date its not improved.
For personal development it is not giving so much emphasize but giving but not so much.

Truly speaking we are available for the internships after 4th semester and we are eligible for the placements after 6th semester. Very popular companies also visits to the universities also like TCS NINJA, L&T etc. The highest package of the college is approximate about 50 LPA and the average package is about 15 LPA. And the percentage of students successfully placed is about 90-95%.

VSSUT Review

Likes

Cultures in various clubs like coding clubs and robotics are good.
Continous improvements in Infrastructure.
Placements are average to good if we see from (3rd tier college point of view).

Dislikes

Curicullum are messy and some useless subjects are followed.
Measures for the safety of students should be taken.
Food quality and hygienic should be maintained.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same

VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations

Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
