VSSUT Faculty

The college has a robust faculty structure, with a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 1:15. There are over 300 faculty members, of whom 80-90% hold Ph.D. degrees, primarily from prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs. The faculty members are described as knowledgeable, experienced, and generally approachable, with a focus on providing both theoretical and practical education. The faculty includes some very senior members, with teaching experience exceeding 28 years. The college conducts two main exams per semester: a mid-semester exam worth 30 marks and an end-semester exam worth 50 marks, with an additional 20 marks allocated by the faculty based on assignments and attendance.

While most faculty members are dedicated and helpful, some are noted to be less engaged or overly strict, particularly regarding attendance. The overall faculty quality is high, contributing to a positive learning environment.
