Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum has alot of works for female authors which is great. Its pretty relevant to what universities around the world expect you to know as a bachelor's student. Sometimes there are too many readings and too less time to complete them so the syllabus has to be rushed that can be improved. Frequency and timing of exams is pretty easy to keep up with. Not too many exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Alot of government internships are offered. Im currently an intern at VAII India Projects vary from NGOS and government internships Most students can enroll in the internships offered as they are open for everyone

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for campus placement in last year if their degrees. Various companies visit throughout the year and the information about it is given through email. Most students opt for the campus placement. My plans are to pursue a Masters in English Literature

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fees is around 48,000. 23,500 per semester Students can apply for fee waiver easily After fee waiver, the fee amount depends on yearly family income. For fee waiver you need only an income certificate of family members.

Campus Life

5

Theres annual Diwali mela, Mental health day fest and a whole lot of other events too. All course materials are available in the library. The library is really good. All classrooms now have smart boards so thats great. For sports we have Football, basketball, NCC for boys and girls both. Multiple Societies like Debate, dance, economics, literature etc are there. A free mental health clinic named Ehsaas is also available

Admission

I applied to DU and Christ University. I did not choose DU as the college i got was not that good in terms of faculty and overall environment and infra. Chirst i didn't choose as it was not an open and non judgmental environment. No. I got accepted everywhere i applied. Admission is through CUET exam. Eligibility is simple 65% in 12th grade and cut offs for CUET cor respect courses depends on the exam itself and the category of the student. Plus they give priority to residents of Delhi. Admission experience was fairly easy.

Faculty

4

Faculty to students ratio is around 1:30. Most of them are very approachable. Kopal Mam, Bhoomika Mam and Vikram sir are really nice in the English department. Usha Mam is a bit too strict sometimes but shes good in teaching mostly. There are mid sem and end sem exams. Difficulty of exam depends on the professor really. Most students pass still. Course curriculum is super relevant to competitive exams too.

Night Life

4

College is near civil lines and north campus so night life is good. Cafes in Hudson Lane are the highlight. Theres only girls hostel and curfew is 8 pm sadly Location of the college itself is not safe at night however areas like north campus are okay

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in political science. And I am a upsc aspirant and the syllabus of the curriculum was aligning with it. Exams mostly happen in the last 2 months. As far I think course curriculum is really good. I have public administration and international relations which are my favourite.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the history honours course,is vast and comprehensive, which provides you the comprehensive knowledge of the History, from ancient, mediaeval and modern Indian history,to history of japan, china, usa and modern west and europe. So I chose this course because of my interest in history and my future planning for upsc, this course prepares you well in history for upsc. The teaching method can be improved in terms of that it should more discussion based rather than old methods. There are final theory exams per semester or per six months,so exams are quite easy if you studied well in the semester, and timings are quite good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In this era of corrosive politics which believes in the wake of wear and tear, I personally believe the utility of my subject is quite exemplary. The curriculum is not mine or any of my professor's decision. It changes according to the shifts in power. The major focus of history honours' curriculum is just India, henceforth making it a viable option for people preparing for competitive exams, but somewhere, all of us studying the course know that the lack of interdisciplinarity and just focusing on its academic niche ingroups is necessary to be looked upon. Exams happen on a biannual basis calling these phenomenon as the end of one semester, which happens twice in each academic year.

Reviewed on Jan 4, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is a very different and unheard course of our country. Philosophy is not so prevalent in India as of now . On the contrary it is as popular in West as medical in India. So it is quite difficult when it comes to an understanding of the subject through indian lens. The curriculum includes western philosophy, Logic, Fundamentals of Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy, etc., which covers almost all disciplines like political science, law, history, sociology, reasoning, etc. The books we are provided as study material are original writings of philosophers and Oxford translations, which makes it even harder to cop up with. The exam level is also quite difficult because you can never study a week before and get 9 Cgpa.
