Course Curriculum Overview

4

Specific aspects of curriculum that influence my decision the course was quite helpful for anyone who wants to pursue upsc. The curriculum has well round concepts of economics, policy making also contemporary debates which are applicable in real world. Teaching methods can be more practical based, classroom discussion, debates areas of improvement should be incorporated multiple disciplinary approach elements of economics, international relations in dept. The frequency and timings of exams are not that difficult in my perspective gaps are provided before the commencement of exams also between the exams for each subjects.

Admission

I didn't choose this college actually I did mistake in preference list during CUET which made this college first preference if I am to compare my college with other colleges on different parameters the college administration is quite helpful unlike other colleges which makes students works easier also it has big auditorium which lacks in most DU colleges which is helpful to conduct programs and functions. The admission process to the college is based on CUET admission process

Faculty

4

The faculty to studnet ratio is quite friendly and approachable teachers are helpful any studnet cross department can also approach teachers if they need any sort of guidance. The name of faculties I liked are Himanshu sir from commerce department who I liked because of his approachable nature his way of interpreting and teaching, botany mam Ashmita, in my Skill enhancement course she taught us portfolio building for capturing diversity of organisms even tough manh students were not science background she taught us wonderfully make sure everyone understood it. The Faculties I didn't like were from chemistry department Preeti malhotra mam she was rude in sense she didn't gave any sort of respect to other department students quite adamant in her nature. There are yearly 1 annual exam in December for odd semester in May for even semester of 90 marks between that Internal assessment and continuous assessment are done to assess the student they carry 40% weightage a studnet need to get minimum passing marks in both IA and CA to pass the semstr exams. It is not very difficult to pass the exam a studnet needs to thorough with the exam pattern and syllabus In my course less than 6 students are not able to pass or clear the exams the course curriculum is relevant for anyone who wants to go for UPSC or for international relations

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is a very different and unheard course of our country. Philosophy is not so prevalent in India as of now . On the contrary it is as popular in West as medical in India. So it is quite difficult when it comes to an understanding of the subject through indian lens. The curriculum includes western philosophy, Logic, Fundamentals of Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy, etc., which covers almost all disciplines like political science, law, history, sociology, reasoning, etc. The books we are provided as study material are original writings of philosophers and Oxford translations, which makes it even harder to cop up with. The exam level is also quite difficult because you can never study a week before and get 9 Cgpa.
