NIT Surathkal has released the provisional list of selected candidates for the MBA programme in the School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management for 2026-27. A total of 67 candidates have been selected in the general merit list. Additionally, there are waiting lists for general category (9 candidates) and OBC category (5 candidates). If your name is on the selected list, you need to complete your admission between May 18-22, 2026. This is a crucial step—failure to complete admission within this period will result in forfeiture of your seat.
The admission process is completely online through the IRIS portal. You'll need to upload documents, fill in details, and pay fees online. Call letters will be sent via email by May 14, 2026. Make sure to check your email and the official website regularly for updates.

NIT Surathkal MBA Admission Process
Log in to the IRIS portal at iris.nitk.ac.in/admission/admissions/login using your MBA application credentials. Fill in all required details and upload scanned copies of all documents between May 11-22, 2026. Pay the first-semester fee online through the IRIS portal during the same period. Complete your admission in person at NIT Surathkal between May 18-22, 2026 (Monday to Friday). You must be personally present- no proxy or representative admission is allowed. Bring all original documents along with one set of photocopies.
Documents Required
You'll need to upload and submit: Provisional admission offer letter, original score card (CAT/MAT/CMAT), grade/mark sheets of qualifying examination, original degree or provisional certificate, course completion certificate (if result awaited), date of birth proof, government ID proof (Aadhaar compulsory), category certificate (if applicable), income and assets certificate (for EWS), disability certificate (if applicable), medical fitness certificate, conduct certificate, migration/transfer certificate, APAAR/ABC ID, and passport-size photographs.
Fee Payment and Withdrawal
The first-semester fee is INR 1,40,760 for day scholars and INR 1,50,020 for hostellers. Hostellers must also pay a mess fee of INR 35,310 for the first semester at the time of hostel admission. If you withdraw before May 22, 2026, you'll get a refund of all fees minus INR 1,000 processing fee. Withdrawals after May 22 are eligible only for security deposit refund. No refunds are given after joining the course.
Important Instructions
Personal presence is mandatory during admission- no proxy allowed. Call letters will be sent via email by May 14. Check your email and the official website regularly. Upload all documents in the correct format. Ensure all details match your submitted documents. If your qualifying degree status is "Appearing," upload the course completion certificate signed by the Head of Institution. Failure to do so will result in seat cancellation.
