Who Can Attend the JoSAA Open House?
The Open House is open only to JEE Advanced 2026 qualifiers. Family members and parents can also join the sessions. The aim is to help candidates make informed choices during seat allocation.
What Will the Sessions Cover?
Each IIT runs the session through professors and current students. Topics include academics, campus life, research, and career opportunities. Offline sessions also include a guided campus tour.
Candidates can directly clarify doubts about branches and hostel life. The panels also address placement records and student support services. This direct interaction is the core value of the Open House.
How to Register for the JoSAA Open House?
Registration links differ for each IIT on the JoSAA portal. Candidates must register separately for each institute they wish to attend. Most IITs use Google Forms, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams for online sessions.
- Visit josaa.nic.in/open-house/.
- Find the participating IIT you want to attend.
- Click the registration link listed next to the institute.
- Fill in the required details and submit the form.
- Note the session link and joining time after registration.
The Open House is not part of formal JoSAA counselling. It is a window to compare IITs before choice filling begins. Skipping it can leave candidates unsure about branch and campus preferences.
