The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has released the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026 Round 1 seat allotment for BTech admissions. The result is hosted on the official counselling portal at counseling.manipal.edu. The allotment went live on June 8, 2026 after 8 PM.
Candidates who registered and filled choices can now log in to the portal. The dashboard will display the allotted institute, programme, and branch. Allotted candidates must confirm the seat by paying the first instalment of tuition fees. The fee payment window closes on June 15, 2026.
MAHE conducts BTech admissions through MET, JEE Main, and CBSE board scores. The common counselling is held entirely online for all eligible candidates. Three rounds of counselling are scheduled, with an additional round if vacancies remain.

- Visit the official portal at counseling.manipal.edu.
- Click on the BTech counselling login link on the homepage.
- Enter your MET application number and password.
- The seat allotment status will appear on the dashboard.
- Download the allotment letter and save it for records.
How to Confirm the Allotted Seat and Pay the Fee?
Confirmation of the allotted seat involves two main steps. Both must be completed within the stated deadline.
The first instalment of tuition fees has to be paid online before June 15, 2026. The Rs 10,000 deposit paid during registration converts into a refundable caution deposit. This deposit forms part of the total course fee.
Candidates must also upload the requested admission documents on the portal. Failure to pay or upload documents on time will cancel the allotted seat.
What Are the Counselling Options After Round 1?
Candidates who get a seat in Round 1 have three clear choices. Each option leads to a different outcome in later rounds.
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and exit further rounds.
- Float or Upgrade: Accept the current seat and stay in for upgrades.
- Withdraw: Reject the seat and exit the counselling process.
Candidates who remain unallotted will be considered in subsequent rounds. Dates for Round 2 and Round 3 will be updated on the portal.
MAHE runs a single common counselling for MET, JEE Main, and CBSE candidates. This means seat competition is wider than a state-level process. Candidates who miss Round 1 still get two more chances to secure a BTech seat.
