The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) examining body has released the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2026 provisional answer key on the official portal at nestexam.in. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now download the question paper with provisional answers in PDF form. The official notice was updated on May 20, 2026.
NEST is a national-level entrance exam for admission to the integrated MSc programmes at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai.

- The PDF will open in the browser.
- Download the file and save it for reference.
- Match each response with the official key to calculate the probable score.

How to Raise Objections Against the Answer Key?
Candidates who find any discrepancy in the provisional key can file objections in the given window. The window opens on June 10, 2026 at 10:00 am and closes on June 12, 2026 at 11:30 pm.
- Visit the official portal at nestexam.in.
- Click on the Login option on the homepage.
- Enter the Application Number or Login ID along with the password.
- Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.
- Select the question to be challenged and submit supporting evidence.
- Save and download the acknowledgement for future use.
- As per the official notice on the NEST portal, no fee has been specified for filing objections against the provisional answer key.
What Happens After the Objection Window Closes?
The examining body will review all valid objections submitted by candidates. A final answer key will then be prepared after expert review. The result will be declared on the basis of the final answer key on June 24, 2026.
Scorecards will be available for download from June 25, 2026. As per the official notice, scorecards will be issued only to candidates who qualify the exam.
