JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result Out at josaa.nic.in; Check Steps to Confirm Seat

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Round 1 seat allotment result for JoSAA 2026 counselling on the official website at josaa.nic.in. The result was published on June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Candidates can check their allotment status using their JEE Main 2026 application number and password.

The allotment covers seats across Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). Seats have been allotted on the basis of choices filled, category, and the candidate's qualifying rank.

How to Check JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result?

1. Visit the official JoSAA portal at josaa.nic.in.
2. Click on the candidate login link on the homepage.
3. Enter your JEE Main 2026 application number and password.
4. Submit the OTP sent for verification.
5. The seat allotment status will appear on the screen.
6. Download the provisional seat allotment letter for reference.

Seat Acceptance Fee for JoSAA 2026 Round 1

Candidates allotted a seat must pay the seat acceptance fee online to confirm their option. The fee has a non-refundable processing charge and an adjustable component.

Of this amount, Rs 5,000 is retained as JoSAA processing charges. The remaining amount is adjusted against the admission fee at the allotted institute during physical reporting.

What Do Freeze Float and Slide Mean?

After viewing the allotted seat, candidates must select one of three options during online reporting. Each option has a different impact on future rounds of counselling.

• Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and exit further rounds. No upgrade will be considered.
• Float: Accept the seat but stay open to upgrade. The system may shift you to a higher-preference choice later.
• Slide: Accept the seat but seek a higher-preference branch within the same institute in later rounds.

How to Complete Online Reporting for JoSAA 2026?

1. Log in to the JoSAA portal and download the provisional allotment letter.
2. Select Freeze, Float, or Slide as per your preference.
3. Pay the seat acceptance fee using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI.
4. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format and size.
5. Wait for verification by the assigned reporting officer.
6. Download the acknowledgement once the status shows confirmed.

• JEE Main 2026 admit card and scorecard
• JEE Advanced 2026 admit card and scorecard for IIT allottees
• Class 10 certificate as date of birth proof
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
