The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has opened the choice filling window for DCECE 2026. Qualified candidates can now register and lock their institute preferences through the official portal at bcece.admissions.nic.in.
The board issued two notices on June 21, 2026, regarding the Polytechnic Engineering (PE) stream. Choice filling is one of the most important stages before seat allotment.

DCECE 2026 Counselling: Key Details
The BCECEB has issued two separate documents to guide candidates. Both are available on the board's official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.

Who Can Take Part in DCECE 2026 Counselling?
Only candidates with a valid DCECE 2026 rank card are eligible to participate. The rank card was released on June 11, 2026.
DCECE 2026 consists of three streams:
- Polytechnic Engineering (PE)
- Para Medical (PM)
- Para Medical Matric Level (PMM)
At present, the counselling process is open only for the Polytechnic Engineering (PE) stream. Notices for PM and PMM will be issued separately.
How to Lock Choices for DCECE 2026 Counselling?
The entire process is online. Candidates need their login credentials to access the portal.
- Visit bcece.admissions.nic.in.
- Log in using your registration number, date of birth, and password.
- Open the choice filling section under the candidate activity board.
- Select preferred institutes and branches in order of priority.
- Lock your choices before June 30, 2026.
- Download and save the confirmation slip.
Seat allotment will be based on the locked choices, so candidates should arrange their preferences carefully.
