bright students who want to do something in career, teachers/ professors open to student and generally cordial
diverse students create a competitive environment which helps students from remote areas to learn
placement and internships opportunities are provided the ratio of boys to girls vary acc to the course in boom its around 1:3

Dislikes

students are even admitted at low scores in courses like ba prog and Hindi and Sanskrit hons thus they create havoc for serious students

placement are provided by college and 10LPA is generally achieveable students after 4th semester are eligible to sit for placements ey delloite bain accenture blackstone and other top companies visit highest package goes upto 35LPA and avg package is 8LPA my plan after my degree is to clear the civil services and become an IPS officer in home cadre

Wanna know about the college.

Likes

I love the crowd of the college. I am currently in my first year and already I have met too many people including my batchmates, seniors and many more and the people I have met till are very wonderfull and passionate about their career.
The quality of food that we get here is also very good. The dhosa of canteen pr the cold coffee of Nescafe everything is very good.
The behaviour of the faculty. All the faculty members are very good as they treat every student equally and solve their queries as soon as possible

Dislikes

The wifi. Sometimes my mobile can't get network inside the college so I use the college wifi but it also doesn't work too well

Placement Experience:

Yes our college provides placements to the student and the students who are in their final semester(6 semester) are eligible for the placement. The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Hansraj College-All you need to know

Likes

I liked the environment and ambiance of my college. It fills me with positivity and happiness
I also liked my college socities. This college offers various societies to cater every interests.
The students, teachers and seniors all are very friendly and supportive. You'll never feel alone or left out here.

Dislikes

The 7 subject course is a bit tiring according to me. This leads to less focus on core subject and mental exhaustion at the end of the day.

Placement Experience:

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Hansraj college- A blessing

Likes

Good internship opportunities are available which help provide exposure to students and get an edge in their career
Mentors who are provides to us in college who are always there to guide us and help us whenever we are in need or when we have some query to be answered
Library, the environment of library is so much serene it motivates students to study. Moreover it is fully air conditioned hence no kind of difficulty

Dislikes

Strict attendance to be maintained at 67% as students are also engaged in society work various off campus activities like internships projects and thus are unable to meet the set criteria
Sometimes there are really short deadlines for assignments which make difficult for students to cope up and submit
Some courses have their classes even on saturdays and classes ending late at 5 in the evening due to sec and vac which is really late

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

Inside Hansraj

Likes

Hansraj College provides sufficient networking opportunities to build my career. So, placements and internships are definitely a plus point at Hansraj.
Hansraj College also has great infrastructure, much better than rest of the Delhi University Colleges. Also, we have air conditioned classrooms unlike other colleges.
The faculty here is great and well educated. Also, they are considerate to the needs of the students.

Dislikes

The administration is somewhat slow here. It would take days and sometimes weeks to resolve our issues.
Hansraj lacks an auditorium (though it is in a the process of being constructed)
The way classes are scheduled (the time table), makes it really tough for day scholars to complete their attendance.

Placement Experience:

College provides placement opportunities, mainly for Economics and Commerce Graduates. The median package revolve around INR 1200000 while the highest package can reach around INR 2500000. Consulting and accounting firms like Bain, EY, Deloitte are the most common recruiters. Students are eligible to apply for placement in their final year only.

Likes

I really like my college canteen food. Good in taste
There are many eating outlets like amul and nescafe
We have air conditioners in our classrooms

Dislikes

The admin block causes delays, but usually promises accuracy

The placements of hansraj college are the most talked about thing. Almost 80% students get placed each year with average package being 7-8 lpa and highest going upto 25lpa, which easily beats all undergraduate colleges of india. Students can sit for placements from 3rd year onwards. We have companies like mckinsey, deshaw etc.

Best college of DU

Likes

The college has a really great infrastructure
all the staff and teachers are highly qualified
We have a big gym at our college which is open for all

Dislikes

The auditorium is not there. However it is being constructed

The most amazing thing at our college is its placements. We have top companies at our college like mckinsey, bain, deshaw coming at our campus to hire students offering packages ranging from 8lpa to 25 lpa, which is commendable. Almost 80-90% students at our college get placed each year.

Likes

I liked the faculty members who taught us in first semester in a very linient way. Our theoritical teachers was very good.
The second thing I liked my college campus which is liked very much at the first day fo my college
The third and last thing I liked about my college is cafe there are three cafes in college co-cola, Nescafe , Mitti cafe all contains yummy food

Dislikes

I don't like the management of this college. College eleminates the problem instead of solving it. By taking recent example before the exam , the management of collection of bags was too bad for which many student got late in their exam hall
I don't like the delayed in construction work , everywhere in college construction is going on, yeah we know that construction is essential but they are taking too much for it.
I disliked some members of faculty who doesnot seems like a professor of this prestigious college. I am talking about a teacher who just taught with his bad language

The highest package of my college is 36 lakh per annum from bcom H programme. The placement is very nice from my collegem the average package is 6.7 lakh per annum and the median package is around 8 lakh per annum which is very good in my views. But if the students is not focusing in his academic then no college can give him placement, it's just a exception. The students become elegible for placements after 2nd year and before 3rd year basically they just got PPO that is preplacement offer. Bain & co. , de shaw , Accenture , oyo, Swiggy. I have a plan of Doing MBA after doing Bcom H form hansraj college

Likes

The college classrooms are very big and spacious
The infrastructure is very good and impressive
Top tier faculty members along with other staff

Dislikes

Some issues in admin office, but does not impact much

Placement Experience:

The placements at hansraj college are impressive and beats 99% of the colleges. The highest placements go to 25lpa and average being 8lpa. Students can enroll into internships starting from the 3rd year onwards. Many big names like amazon, bcg etc come at our campus for hiring. I myself am planning to sit for placements

I liked the campus of college it is not too big but it is asthetic and gives vibes of an college. Every block is neat and clean. the overall camous is quite pretty that i liked too much at the first day of my college.
The second thing i liked in this college is faculty members. Our busines laws teacher in first semester was very good in teaching and also in personal concern. Our MPA tut teacher also guides us in academics as well as non acdmeics things.
The last thing i liked is societies of this college, it has more than 40+ societies related to every domain like dance, professionalism, singing, and many more. I am in a consulting society and it is giving me many insights for the corporate working

Dislikes

I disliked the construction work which is taking too much time. One of the gate is closed which is under construction and this gate is used very frequently by many students.
I disliked some teachers like our Financial management teacher who does not no how to teach and we just thought how she become a teaher. So it was a very bad experience of teaching methods of teachers.
The last thing is mismanagement of college. On my sem exam day the mgt of collection of bags was very bad as many students got late just beacuse of it

Students wil brcome eiligible for interships from first year or after seocnd semester. The placaments is nice and the averge package is around 600000. And last year two students got internships from de shaw and accenture for 90000 and 60000. So the internships is good. The highest package is 36 lakh from hansraj. I dont know about the percenateg of students getting placements. My plans after getting placements is nothing because currently i m doing CA which is sufficient for me for my placement.

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
