The pride of studying in a prestigious college.

Likes

The infrastructure of the campus and the comfort and luxury it provides with minimum cost.
The kind of opportunities and competitions, as well as speaker sessions organised gives great insights into the particular field of study.
The efforts of teachers to teach despite knowing nothing.

Dislikes

A below average teacher provided for one of the most important subjects such as business law.
Seems like a school without uniform, and over enthusiastic crowd coming to college everyday for attendance and becoming teachers pet.
Discriminatory behaviour of some teachers, and their sheer inability to grasp the students attention while teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. The course that I have chosen is B.Com(h) as I studies Commerce in higher secondary. 2. The course is interesting and prepares for real life applications and employment in the corporate sector really well. 3. The content of textbooks is very well written, we just need good faculty for teaching it. 4. Semester exams happend once a semester with medium level difficulty.

Brand name: so hansraj college, everyone knows and a big flex when you can say a lot of famous and successful people are graduated from here and when one of those people are the one and one shahrukh khan
Faculty: too supporting and friendly faculty
Competition: this is where I can atleast get a little competition

Dislikes

Fake people: why do they always try to fake themself, I mean I am not against someone faking it, but it should not look at your face, lol
Old infrastructure: college got a beautiful infrastructure but it needs some good rework
Study: who goes to college for studies????😩

Placement Experience:

A lot of companies come for the final year students to offer them a lot of roles, some of the companies are ey, Genpact, ibm. There are more than 50 companies (or even more) comes for placement of multiple students)

The Inside experience of Hansraj College, DU

Likes

The students and Faculty is very friendly and collaborative.There is no toxic environment at all
The pathways are very nice , made of tiles and infrastructure is decent
The best canteen in North campus DU consisting of Cafeteria, Mitti Cafe, nescafe and amul

Dislikes

the classrooms are really small of A block
the buildings are relatively small in comparison to other colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirriculum is up to date , it focuses on real world applications of studies , with the help of analyzing case studies , etc. the frequqncy of examinations is okay as there are mainly end semester exams, but there are a lot of difficult assignments to do.

Hansraj College

Likes

The infrastructre is one of the best among all DU colleges. It has indoor badminton court, shooting range, football ground, basketball court, cricket pitch, archery.
The vibe of the college is very good and the library is also one of the best.
The crowd of Hansraj is top notch and very posh. Students from all walks of life are there in Hansraj.

Dislikes

You dont get to use the sports facility unless you are a professional sports player or got enrolled through sports quota.
The attendance has become strict since past 2 years which is not good because in college one needs to explore and take part in ECA rather than study and score top marks.
The classes get cancelled very often. You cannot say that a class will take place until one hour before the class timing. Its that bad!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing Bcom Hons from Hansraj College is something that is a big deal. Being a general student it was a dream come true to get Bcom Hons( the most demanded course of DU) and that too in a top college like Hansraj. The course curriculum is very relevant to today's time. The practicals and lectures are engaging. They can get monotonus at times but overall it is a great experience to purse Bcom Hons. Exams take place in Dec/Jan and April/May along with Class tests a month or two before the exams. The exams are moderate level and one can easily score good CGPA in it.

Inside Hansraj college: A holistic experience of academics, placements and campus life

Likes

The faculty is top-notch. The professors are the best in the country and have very good experience. Their teaching methodology is also really good.
The infrastucture of the campus is really good. It offers various types of facilities such as WiFi, sports complex, eating outlets and many more.
The level of exposure that hansarians get cannot be received at any other college. There are many sessions with notable speakers like Om Birla, Naveen Jindal, SRK etc.

Dislikes

The college is very conjusted. There is a lot of public in the campus making it not a good place for hangout.
There are no placements for most of the science students not making it a good option for them.
The elections, at the peak seasons cause a lot of issues to the students. Candidates keep disturbing and destroy the vibe of the whole process.

6th semester students are eligible for placements. The various companies that come for recruitment are the big 4, deloitte, google, and many more.... And about 200-300 offers were made for my course. The highest placements go upto Rs 36 LPA and average placements go upto Rs 9 LPA. Almost 80-90% students get placed in my course. I wish to go for an MBA after my graduation.

Behind the scenes from Hansraj

Likes

The societies are really active. There is a variety of societies for all kind of people for fulfilling all kind of needs whether it is emotional ,social ,artistic or professional needs. The process to get in them is rigourous though.
Seniors are friendly and helpful , possibly more amiable then batchmates too .
Some professors are sincere others are not , but they do help in other ways . For eg they provide books and readings to students with financial constraint.

Dislikes

The environment sometimes can get very competitive and thus toxic.
Since the strength of batch is huge , it reduces teachers attention and facilities per head .
Girls hostel has only 4 washrooms for 30 girls and even the fee is way too high

Placement Experience:

The alumni network of hansraj is strong as it has been a doorway for many famous bureaucrats and entrepreneurs such as Naveen Jindal himself. The societies are very active as well which enhance real life skills of students which further helps them to acquire a job due to experience. The internship cell works for giving us access to prospective internship which starts from sem 1 too. The highest package stood at 36.5 lakhs . The placement cell of Hansraj is a student run cell that plays a huge role too . As I have said before , majority of students offered job (74%) were from commerce stream. The average package stands at 8.2 lpa and median at 7 lpa

Amazing College but lacks in few aspects

Likes

The college has a reputed Brand name which came handy while opting for off campus Placements and Internships. The Placements is decent here when compared to South and Off campus colleges and they have an average placement of 14,00,000+ offered
The campus life is pretty great I get to meet some of the best minds of India and it makes the atmosphere competitive on the same time which is toxic but good for personal development.
With exceptions the faculty is great here. Hansraj lacks in infrastructure as we have small campus and needs repairs. But overall the campus is decent as compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

The level of internship provided is not good and one has to look for off campus opportunities for the same. Even though college have 70+ societies most of them are not useful for CV and Placement purposes.
The Course Curriculum is not good but the college can't be blamed for this as it is prepared by Delhi University but the Course Curriculum has not updated for years and subjects like Hindi are being taught to students.

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester students become eligible for Campus Placements. Companies include Bain, ZS, LEK, Accenture, DE Shaw, PWC, Deloitte, Futures First, EY, United Airlines, Zomato, Digit, Airtel, Genpact, Lenskart, ICICI Bank, Grant Thornton, NAMO, Ecom Express etc. and 280+ offers are made, Highest Package is 23,00,000 and average placement is 820000 with Top Quartile Avergae of 14,00,000 with 26% roles in Consulting, 31% in Finance and 17% in accounting. My plan is to pursue CA

Yes, the college provides very good placement opportunity. Average salary may be 6-8 lakh per year but you can get upto 20-25 lakh per year. Several of companies visit the college but I dont have more details cause I havent seen placements yet. From 5th semester student can look for placement opportunity.

Life in hansraj College

Likes

Library:- i like the most in my college library becose the books available in Library is good and easily available
Infrastructure:- sitting arrangement of college is good.
Faculty:- faculty always focus on every students

Dislikes

Entry gate:- they check admit card every day and also ask for hang tha admit card in neck
Ground:- opening time of ground is not good becoz it open 12.00 am
Washroom:- dirty washroom, staff not clean it daily

1. Practical and theoretical knowledge of accounting, I like accounting so I choose it. 2.our curriculum will help us in our further education like character accountant, MBA ect. 3.they can involve more practical knowledge as well as provide some task on syllabus. 4. It's good they ask as per the syllabus and also give enough time.

Life at Hansraj College

Likes

Infrastructure facilities are really fascinating.
Socities are also very active and provide great extempore
Faculty are also cooperative and supportive regarding all the issues.

Dislikes

Attendance should not be compulsory feels like school sometimes
Short lunch breaks students gets only 15 min to eat their lunch
Counter facilities are really poor teachers behave rudely.

Placement Experience:

After completing 4th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Deloitte, PWC ,JPMC ,EY etc visit campuses and around 390 offers were made last year. Highest package was 36 lakhs and average package around 6 lakhs and . 40 percent got placed this year. Cat preparation

One of my friends graduated with a B.A Economics (H) from Hansraj last year. So, I think I can answer your question.

Here are some of the best things about the institute.

This college has an ‘old world’ feel. The infrastructure of the college is great.
The fee structure is affordable as compared to other private colleges.
It has some incredible graduates, including Shahrukh Khan, Ranvijay, and Anurag Kashyap. The list is really long.
Amazing crowd, the individuals here are both fun and hardworking at the same time. Admission is based on merit in qualifying examinations.
Some of our professors are truly amazing, you will not find such professors at other colleges, even SRCC.
There are many societies to explore like dramatics, photography society, and fine arts society, etc.
The hostel was my friend’s home for three years, and there is simply no better place to stay when studying at Hansraj. However, it doesn’t have a girls’ hostel.
North Campus has the best college location.

You will not regret choosing the institute.
