To calculate NEET rank, NTA converts your raw marks into a percentile by comparing your raw marks to those of other candidates and then assigns a ranking in descending order.

Your NEET percentile can be obtained by using the formula specified below

Percentile = 100 × (Number of candidates with score ≤ yours / Total appeared candidates)
  • Your NEET rank is calculated ‌using the percentile and not your NEET raw scores.
  • A score above 680+ is considered excellent, which puts you among the top 1-73 ranking in NEET.

How NTA Calculates NEET Rank?

NTA first calculates each candidate’s raw score by applying the marking scheme.

Total score = (Correct Answer x 4 ) - (Wrong Answer x 1)

Next, NTA calculates the percentile for each subject and for the overall by using the formula
