• The NTA will only release the qualifying cutoff, along with the minimum qualifying criteria.
• The admission cutoff will be released by the MCC for the All India Quota (15%) and by State counselling authorities for the state quota (85%).
• The Cutoff rank for the General category is expected to be under 100 for the AIIMS, New Delhi, with a score ranging from 690+.
• For other top colleges such as MAMC, VMMC & Safdarjung, etc., the closing cutoff rank for UR will be 50 - 600, with scores ranging from 670-705.
• For MBBS, General students need 600–650+ marks; for BAMS, around 400–500 marks. Reserved categories have lower cutoffs, like 300–450 for BAMS.

The qualifying cutoff is expected to be 710-145 for General/EWS category, 142-115 for OBC, 142-115 for SC,142-115 for ST, 142-128 for UR/EWS-PwD and 125-113 for OBC/SC/ST-PwD.

In 2025, the qualifying cutoff for the UR/EWS category was 686-144, 143-113 for OBC, 143-113 for SC, and 143-113 for ST.

The NEET UG cutoff decreased from the year 2024 to 2025 for all the categories, as the exam was on the tougher side as compared to the easier paper of 2024.

• Difficulty of the exam: If the paper is tougher than usual, then the cutoff will drop, and if the paper is easier, the cutoff will increase.
• Number of candidates appearing: If the number of students rises, it will increase the competition, and if the number os students drops, then the lower competition will relax the cutoff.
• Overall students' performance: If many candidates score high, then it will probably increase the cutoff, or if the average score remains low, then the cutoff will also reduce.
• Seat availability: If the number of seats is more and the number of candidates does not increase, it will reduce the cutoff.
• Reservation policy: The cutoff will vary based on the categories of the candidates. The UR category cutoff is higher than the reserved category cutoff.
