NEET Good Score 2026
The NEET 2026 exam is over now, conducted at more than 5000 exam centres across India and International locations. According to the Times of India reports, the students' reaction shows mixed experience; one aspirant said that the overall paper was easy and the Physics questions were manageable. Another student in conversation with @IANS_India shared that the NEET 2026 paper was very good with all manageable sections.
- This year, around 22.79 lakh students have registered for the NEET 2026 exam.
- Therefore, even if the overall paper will be easy, the NEET cutoff 2026 will see a significant rise due to the limited number of seats and tough competition among students.
- A single mark will be the deciding factor whether you will get a government or private medical college through NEET 2026 marks vs rank.
- Based on students' reactions, a score above 650 marks in the NEET 2026 will be safe for admission into AIIMS colleges in India.
- For other reputed government medical Colleges in India, the NEET 2026 safe score will be around 550-600 marks out of 720.

Is NEET 270 a good score?
A score of 270 in the NEET 2026 exam is considered a low score. Based on the past NEET trends, this mark will place the candidate in the rank range of 657,138 to 774,559 in the NEET merit list 2026. Such a rank does not meet the cutoff for admission to the government medical colleges under the AIQ (15%) or State Quota (85%).
Admission Possibilities with a Score of 270
| Option | Details |
|---|---|
| Private and Deemed Universities | Some private and deemed universities may offer seats under the management or NRI quota for candidates with scores in this range. But these colleges often come with much higher tuition fees. |
| Allied Health Sciences Programs | Institutes like Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and JSS University, Mysuru, offer programs in allied health sciences, which may have lower cutoffs compared to MBBS or BDS courses. |
| Abroad Studies | Considering medical education abroad in countries like Russia, Georgia, or the Philippines is another option. Make sure that the institutions are recognised by the NMC to validate the degree in India. |
