Likes

Technical clubs are so good and will help you to grow in technical aspects
Sports culture is good and there will be clubs who takes revies of students on regular basus
No stress and every saturday and sunday are holidays and friday will be half day

Dislikes

some times you don't like the kerala food served here

Placement Experience:

There is a seperate placement cell which helps you in developing skills and particular techinal clubs run by students which helps to improve your skills and highest package will be around 60LPA and average package of 14LPA this year

A decent review of IIIT KOTTAYAM

Likes

Weather,Friendly environment are comfortable
Teachers are very friendly and easily available for any student
Medical department people are very helpful and friendly

Placement Experience:

7th semester people are eligible for campus placements .Highest package offered to campus is 58.6L in 2022 and average package is around 13-15LPA .Almost 95% of people are getting placed in campus placements in the group of people who are interested in campus placements

importance to studies gives the best career in this college

Likes

campus life is full of fun and njoymnet i like the full map of this college
sports is like of exercsing activity so have a lot
food is also well and good we have the good food not the only one kerala food the andhra food also be there here

Dislikes

more freedom is there in the college and who njoys more may loose concentration in studies
less days for exams there may be one month for the xams time every month there will be an exam
more competition, high compettion amoung students and cannot ghet more cocnepts as the way good o]if we get challenges

Placement Experience:

main thing we must study well as to get placed in the well palnned job as you must read the concpts and learn the depth explained by the studemts AND that makes the palcemnt good to you . As the college placemnst are well going godd the 2023 batch students have got the highest of 65lpa and the averge package of the iiit kottayam is about 16LPA as it increases to 20LPA by the time of 2026 as my graduating year

Likes

Cleanliness of the hostel and campus.
Weather and atmosphere like frequent rain
Faculty and course curriculum is good. .

Dislikes

Traveling for city to buy some clothes means way long
No ac in the hostel like in summer it's so hot
Sports are good but timings are not matched by classes

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students can apply for college placement and nearly 60 companies visited and all good placements got by our seniors and highest package is 48 lkhs and average is 10 lakhs. I don't know accurate but in range of 90-100 percent placements

Faculty Interaction : Faculties are cooperative
Classroom : Individual seats are available
Labs : Labs with good equipment are there

Dislikes

Sports : More facilities are needed and more sports should be introduced
A/C classrooms : A/C must be installed in classrooms
Outpasses : It is not so easy to take outpass to go out

Placement Experience:

Students start to apply for internships and placements from 3rd year. Placement coordinator cell is present in college and on-campus placements are also good. Highest package is 60LPA and average is about 10LPA.

Likes

The nature around campus is very good and beautiful
Many sports facilities are there and college encouraged many students
Many clubs for learning new things and develop new skills

Dislikes

The food is worst sometimes.but is moderate every time
All the hostels are three sized no two sharing rooms
No of bathrooms in hostels are very less

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college are very good. The placements percentage is around 90 percent . The median package is 11 lakhs The average package is 14 lakhs The highest package is 59 lakhs I want to pursue my higher graduation

History and economics of IIIT Kottayam

Likes

I like the people I met and the friends I made here.
You can get pretty much college vibe here and can do many funny things.
We can go to many places outside the campus and do some crazy stuff.

Dislikes

Discipline committee here don't discipline students and just punishes
They are not providing the promised speed of internet and connections-modem ratio is too high
Gym is full of people and have wait long time to get the equipment.

Placement Experience:

3 semester if you are skilled enough. Highest package is 44 this year and average package is 14 lakhs. 90 percent people will place I will do software jobs untill I get an idea to do something after .Maybe discovering something that will turn the world upside down or as usual as the most of the people

The life at iiit kottayam

Likes

The beautiful campus surrounded with nature.
Infrastructure is good and modernized well equipped
Friendly staff while explanation of your doubts

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike much about our college.
Some times the mess food will not be good, as it is common in many hostels.
The class timings start at morning 8 and emd at between 4 to 5pm

Placement Experience:

Maximum students are eligible for placements from 7th semester ig. The highest package is 58.9lpa Average package is 14lpa The median package is 11lpa I am interested to doing job after my graduation.

Likes

you will get high speed wifi all over the campus
seniors are very nice there is no ragging in the college
faculty are so nice they are very interactive with students

Dislikes

mainly here i dont like the food that is provided in this campus
there is no ac in all of the class rooms in summer you will get irritated
and the college is like very far from the any near railway station and airport

Placement Experience:

from the 3 rd year and 6th sem students can available for the jobs and for internships you can apply as you wish students dont know about the companies visited al that stuff highest 66 lacks and average is 14 lacks as of now more than half of the students get placed i am planning on doing the job

Likes

Faculty Interaction : Student can have good interaction with faculty
Classrooms : Classrooms are equipped with good monitors and audio system
No distraction to study : Student if want to focus on studies, can continue without any distraction

Dislikes

Sports Facilities : A good ground is necessary. And more sports should be included
Mess Food : Mess food requires some improvement.
Canteen : Better and vast canteens are necessary.

Usually students get placement offers from 3rd year. Several companies offer decent placement and almost every one are placed. Highest package was around 50LPA and average is 10LPA. If you want to do job right after Btech, you can have that opportunity.
