Scholarships are available at good scores in jee mains but there are also internal scholarships within semesters if you score good in one semester you can get scholarship financial assistance was also good
Teachers are good and they teach well and helping us to improve
The placement opportunities are good and allows big companies like amazon take students from the university.

Dislikes

The placements of this campus are very bad considering it's a government funded technical institution and the ranks for this college are high. the package should be atleast 6-7 lpa average for a cse student.
One more thing i hate here is that sports is not good here
Mess food is horrible here. the worst thing about the hostel life is mess food here.

SMVDU Overview

The campus is in Katra, surrounded by hills and greenery. It’s very calm compared to big-city universities, so you can focus on studies without too many distractions.
The evaluation system is modeled after IITs (continuous assessments, minors, majors). It keeps you consistent throughout the semester rather than relying only on one final exam.
For a relatively young university, it has well-built hostels, decent labs, a central library, sports grounds, and a campus that feels modern and organized.

Dislikes

Because it’s located in a remote area, you don’t get as many industry interactions, internships, or cultural events as you would in metro-based universities.
For branches like CSE and ECE, placements are fairly decent. But for core branches (civil, mechanical, biotech, etc.), opportunities are fewer and students often have to prepare for outside exams/jobs themselves.
The environment is disciplined, but some students feel it’s a bit too restrictive compared to other colleges. Night-outs, frequent fests, or the “big city college vibe” are missing.

Placement Experience:

In case placement they tries give opportunities but didn't succeeded to much well. As 9.5 lpa is highest package by B.Tech CSE on campus but off-campus doing well as B.Tech CSE got 2 time 36 lpa as highest

University is situated in Katra and thus you will experience mountain view daily with paths of University full of Tre.s
The Faculties are highly qualified and are best in their respective fields.They also didn't forces you for 75% attendance criteria.
Seniors of our college are helping ones. They will do Their best to help you in every aspect.

Dislikes

The Social life of College is slightly dead as Interactions among students of different branches is not easy.
The Event Organising committee is not as good to successfully organise big events.

Placement Experience:

The Placements opportunities are fair as they placement is not good. The average placement is 5 l.p.a which is very low. So you have to prepare for off campus placement. The College is slightly cut off from the top companies and they are not visiting our college from covide period. Thus placement is at not good track.

A decent goverment college with good infrastructure and location

Likes

Good and decent infrastructure of the campus located at the heart of the hills. A nice place to spend your 4 years of btech in. A decent government college
Good teachers when compared to other college . Placments are also good here when compared to the other institute
The Girls to boys ratio is good in the college nearly about 2:5 ratio for averall university. And a 1: 9 for program likes enginnering

Dislikes

Some kind of rural location takes effort to arrive
Mess food is just edible . Not to bad though
Nothing much that i dislike the hostels are also decent

The university is located in as Seren Environment surrounded by mountains, which make it an ideal place for focused learning, the pollution free atmosphere adds an overall experience.
Compared to other private universities, assembly offer quality education at a relatively lower fee. The campus has well equipped labs, libraries, hostel and sports facilities.
The facility members are knowledgeable and many of them are actively involved in researches. Student get guidance for projects, internships and competitive exams.

Dislikes

Wild placement opportunities exist, especially for CSE students. They are not as extensive as in top tier institute. More industry connection and internship opportunities could be beneficial.
The universe location wild peaceful is far from major cities. making travel inconvenient. limited transport option can be a drawback.
The campus follows a strict discipline policy, and some students feel restricted due to early curfews in hostel. Social and extracurricular events are limited as compared to urban universities.

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility begins in the 7th semester for most student. Some companies also offered internships in the six semester, which can later convert into full time job offers. Tcs Vipro Infosys, Cognizant, Hcl Lnt Infotech and Zn associates, primarily offering software development, testing and consulting rules Some student get offers from an mnc's and startup through of campus drives. Highest package 12 to 15 LPA average package is 5 to 7.

My brief review about my college

Likes

Campus, lab infrastructure, Library, Auditorium
Teaching quality is good, teachers are well qualified and caring, there's not much burden on the students.
Examination system is also quite good and fair.

Dislikes

Placements could be improved, environment of technology studies should be encouraged
The crowd is not that great, i think something should be done about this.
Administration should be made better and some lab assistants too need to be changed.

Placement Experience:

There are good companies visiting our college and some PSU too like BEL. almost all the cse students get placed, good companies for cse/ece come in the college though the pay is <15lpa. I will be looking for a job after my degree L&T, Infosys, Capegemini, accenture, TCS.. and refer to college site for more names.

I'd say average but location too good

Infrastructure is too good , gives you peaceful vibes
It has a good environment for co-curricular activities
It has 1:1 ratio for girls and boys among all branches and bachelors

Campus area is large so much greenery here . attractive place really like it .Having great mountain view.
Department of cse is likely support us to enhance your skills, development of not only in studies also in physical and practical world
Having great outdoor activities and clubs enhance our personality.

Dislikes

Unavailablity of transportation and traveling, lack traveling resources.
Delay in the circulation activities sometimes it more disappointing
Lack of market near the campus area and outside of it

From third semester students were eligible to get participate in campus placement.wipro TCS , tata group,HDFC,and many more.highest was 21 lakh , and avg was 7 lakh.55percentage of student getting placement.For masters in another reputated institute.

Likes

You will get a lot of fee time to explore different field.
Professors are quite supportive if you are a good student.
You can easily score a good cgpa with a small effort.

Dislikes

Coding culture of this college is not so good.
Senior are not interactive as one should be.
College only focus on academic not on latest technology.

Placement Experience:

Placements of this college is very poor. Mostly mast recruiter compant come in this college and average package of this college lie somewhere between according to me is 4 lakh to 5 lakh and percentage of student placed is also low.

Exploring Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University

It is close to the nature in the lap trikuta hills with divine blessings of Shri Mata Vaishno devi
Flexible class hours around 20-25 hours per week
Faculties are helpful and provides useful insights

Dislikes

Course curriculum is not so updated according to the current market demands
75 percentage attendance criteria is sometimes becomes frustrating
Not maintaing the existing infrastructure neither creating new ones

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. 10-15 companies visited every year and 200-300 offers made each year Highest package this year is 14.5 lakh Approx 60-70 percentage of students gets placed If a get a good package then I will take it and if not I will do MTECH from Top IITS

Placement Experience:

Companies start to hire from semester 7 and they will provide you Interns for sem 8 in that semester. This year the placement were not very high because of the market conditions but until last year the placement was 100 percent. This year in my batch 25-30 got placed out of 98. And highest package was 18 lac per annum. Second highest package was 14.5 lacs per annum.
