Campus with my eyes

Likes

Behaviour of college faculty and members are quite impressive,they are supportive and friendly.
The environment of the college is good,there is no any restriction for doing anything.
The mess and the hostel facility are good. In college students help each other and make a strong bond.

Dislikes

The discrimination in mess food between btech and bs students, I fill both are student of the college so they have to give same food that btech student get.
There is some miscommunication between students and faculty about the cultural and sports events, they have to work on it.
They have to work on their transport system to make favourable for students.

Admission:

I choose this college over the other college because of it's reputation, fame and the knowledgble professors also IITs like environment. The addmission process are quite simple if you have any the competitive intrence exam like JEE,CUET,SAT you are eligible, complete the registration process and make the payment. Now ,you are student of the college

Truth Of The Hybrid Program Of IIT Patna(NEP 2020)

The Teaching Faculties Of This Program Is Experienced And Good .They teach in very clear language with patience and try to solve everyones doubt and there is also weekly doubt session .
There Will be different types of sports competition held in the campus like badminton,cricket,basketball ,volleyball,etc.Also you can enjoy hackathons and skills competitions .
The Cultural Programs are Very attractive and enjoying. You get the opportunity to make across cultural friends .

Dislikes

The behaviour of some non-teaching staffs . Some staffs talk very rudely.
The food of the mess is not so good in comparison to btech student mess food . You get the same food for long time.
Restrictions To Use Some Equipments Of The Institute. You can not go to the gym and use the equipments.

Admission:

Bhai choose this college of other colleges I applied because of its modern demand friendly curriculum and teaching style. Also in the other online courses there will be no entry allowed in the campuses but in this course you have their opportunity to participate in every Sports and technical competitions. You can visit to your campus anytime but accommodation only provided in the campus Immersion. You are also allowed in the college fests.

Flexibility of learning hours. You can learn at anytime, anywhere. If you fail to attend the online live classes, you can attend the recorded lectures later and your attendance will also be recorded if you do so. You can download the lectures as well
Campus life is amazing. You get exposure to a 15 days long campus immersion at IIT Patna. You get access to the mess, canteen, library and everything that the seminars of famous personalities.
You can participate in a lot of hackathons, internship opportunities during study period and even after completion of course, you will be receiving help from the placement cell of IIT Patna

Dislikes

If you are already in a college where you are already attending offline classes and attendance is mandatory, you may reconsider before enrolling here. Because your schedule will be hectic. Managing 2 UG degrees simultaneously is a crazy deal for mos.
You get access to campus life only for 15 days in each semester, that is 30 days in a year, which may not be enough for some, but the experience that you will gain would be amazing.
Fees may not be affordable for most of the students

Admission:

I was already pursuing my B Tech degree in the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology OUAT Bhubaneswar. This college allows you to take admission in BS alongwith a B. Tech or any other degree(NEP 2020 policy). I appeared in NEET 2024 and qualified it with a score of 396/720. I shared my NEET score card when I applied to take admission in BS program. You can take admission through JEE or CUET or any other significant national level or statelevel entrance exams. If you have my appeared in any significant national or statelevel entrance exams after 12th, you can appear in IIT-SAT exam for taking admission in this course, but mathematics is mandatory. Maths should be a subject during your 12th. I visited the official website of IIT Patna, downloaded the brochure for taking admission in BS program in AI-CS. Then I contacted the admission team mentioned in the brochure. They guided me about the admission process. You need 10th and 12th marksheet, passport size photocopyz adhaar card, income certificate, resident certificate, etc, upload all the mentioned documents in pdf format in the correct order, send it to their email, then courier the documents in the given address, then after payment of fees you are a student of IIT Patna BS program and you will get an ID card of IIT Patna BS program after some days delivered to your address. The admission was smooth, but you have to keep yourself up-to-date and check your WhatsApp, messages and gamil/Outlook regularly to get the information. It's nearly one month long process from downloading the brochure from the official website to be called as a student of IIT Patna BS program.

Very little offline experience, mostly online twaching
Test are in offline mode which I thing should be completely online also

Basically it was giving me freedom of hybrid model Not going to college every day I can watch lecture when ever I like For admission they take from jee and iitp sat exams which is pretty basic of 12th class and easy to pass

IIT Patna is very best in India. According to NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Patna is ranked 36th in the overall category, and 39th in the research institutes category. In the India Today rankings 2024, it was ranked 9th in the category of colleges. Admission process was very smooth, firstly you apply / registration in B.Sc (CSDA) course. If cleared cutt-off and counselling, then facility contact you through the mail and after 1 to 2 weeks college organizes group discussion (GD) & verified document. Then you will have to take all your documents to the college. The overall admission experiences is good.

Good peer group, good and supportive professors, good infrastructure, super good coding culture, good senior-junior interaction.
fests are really good here. We had Laqshay Kapoor, Armaan Malik, Vickey Kaushal in Anwesha 2025. We also had Madhur Virli, Mohammad Irfan (singer) Dr. Ashish Arora, Gajendra Purohit Sir in various other fests during the academic year 2024-25.
IITP is the only second generation IIT to conduct inter IIT Cult Meet 7.0

Dislikes

Swimming pool is not there, thats a a big problem though because we still got medals in inter iit aquatics.

Basically i gave JEE and according to my JEE Advanced rank of 2023 i was getting EE/ECE in some og the Mother IITs but i didn't want to pursue electrical engineering so took CSE in IITP. Talking about other colleges, i had options for some of the private colleges like TIET CSE, Jaypee Noida CSE. My JEE Mains did not go well so had not good options for NITs/IIITs, so yeah joined IITP CSE.

Indian Institute of Technology-Patna has a very beautiful campus.
For first years the hostel is too spacious.
The relation between juniors and seniors is too good.

Dislikes

The grading system. This college has absolute grading system.
The rooms in hostels for 2nd,3rd years are too small.
The classes starts early nearly at 8 am .

I got admission in iitbhu,vit vellore,amrutha coimbatore,griet and some eamcet colleges but when compared to these colleges, I think IITPatna is better. So I preffered Indian Institute Of Technology over other colleges. We can get these college by clearing JEE Advanced and then participating in JOSAA counselling.

Campus size was nice and the admin area is big
The hostel is a big small but maintained
There are four badminton courts and two basketball courts

Dislikes

Maintainance of the hostel is not good .
The washing machines are not always in the working conditions
The academic stress is high and the boys to girls ratio is 1:4

Admission:

I got this college in the josaa councelling part , I didn't fill it properly but whatever . Lesson learnt: don't mess up your seat counselling part in josaa councelling so that u get the seat in the college u wanted

My Experience at IIT PATNA

Likes

I like the Transportation system there are 4 buses that run inside the campus time to time.
Curriculum is well designed all the lectures run freely no hectic schedules.
Professors are strict but they to listen to our problems regarding the way of teaching they do adopt to our pace, that really helps us to stay focused in class.

Dislikes

Colors of Infrastructures all of them are painted same color that's pretty annoying.
Labs are outdated I think we are wasting time for simple and basic applications, we do want to learn complex things taught in the lectures.
Library is small it is always packed and our department library is being used as a storage room for new equipment.

Admission:

I have applied to IIT Palakkad, IIT Bhilai, IIT Dhanbad, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bhuvaneswar and few other NITs. I have written JEE Mains and JEE Advanced and for my rank I got selected to IIT Patna Electrical and Electronics Engineering. First I have filled JOSAA counseling for my rank I selected what might my potential branches I can get into and during counseling I got selected by IIT Patna, I freezed that option and did the required paper work and submitted it online. It went very smooth every thing else after application was done through mails so it was peaceful.
