Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is not relevant in todays age and needs a lot of improvement, practical/hands-on experience should be prioritised over theoretical practice. the curriculum prepares you poorly for real world applications, however with some effort by yourself it can be quite usefull. One good aspect is the freedom to choose electives and the variety there is to them.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships are moderately difficult to find, either through college internship drives or references. You will be given roles according to the company and course you are pursuing. There is a good network of aluminis aswell so it is easier to get internship roles through that.

Placement Experience

3

Placemenets of the overall colleges are good, especially for commerce related streams, however for science streams they are just well. Highest package varies around 12-15lpa and average is 5-9lpa. 60% students get placed while others either prefer higher studies or get rejected. I plan to go for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is Rs 20,630 and the course duration is 3 years. You have to make payments for examinations, around 1200-1400 for this course specifically. There are scholarships available and fees differs for categories.

Campus Life

4

Events and festivals take place throughout the year. the college is bustling with activity and clubs are quite active aswell. The library has a good collection of books and are available to borrow or read momentarily in the library. Sports is given good attention and almost all major sports are covered in the college, different courts are available and teams are already present.

Admission

I applied to a lot of other colleges under Delhi University and some private colleges, i chose this college over those because overall it was a better and reputed college. Fees is quite affordable, attendance is managable, well infrastructure, based in a good locality, good connectivity and several other reasons. After your cuet examinations, you need to register yourself on the CSAS portal, offered by the university of delhi, where you need to make a preference sheet and then you are given colleges based on your CUET score.

Faculty

2

faculty to student ratio is alright in this course and the faculty to student relationship as mentioned previously is very harsh, teachers are moderately available, reaching out to them personally is very challenging but is possible. There are exams in every semester, the difficulty is moderate, anybody and score well if they study for the exam a week prior. Quite a lot of students fail to clear the exams but it is often due to their internal marks and carelessness. The curriculum is quite outdated and very less relevant to today.

Night Life

4

Im not familiar with the nightlife, however since the connectivity is quite good, the nighlife is pretty nice. Gyms, cafeterias and several other places are present just beside the college and is bustling with activity. A very famous hangout place is satyaniketan, which is an open area with markets and shops. It is not extremely safe to roam around late at night however, till 10pm is alright.

The course can be a little bit too, overwhelming as the curriculum is really outdated as compare to what skills are required in the real world, but the introduction of SEC and VAC subjects have really helped add value to the course

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.
