Course Curriculum Overview

4

I did this course after a lot of thought. Although I had Political Science in 1st position, but I also found History to be a very good course, so I took advice from my teacher. This course is really good, it gives us a chance to know our own history and we also get to learn a lot from history. We should not only read history but also visit places related to history and see it.

Placement Experience

2

Placement in Kirori Mal College is very good, other course is history based and side course is also based. Right now it is my 1st year so I have not yet made any rounds to any company for placement. Not everyone gets placement, at least not in high percentage. I have not thought much about this topic, so I cannot tell you anything about it right now.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid my admission fees. I also need to pay for my books and tuition fees. Yes and I have seen the fees of different Shrerdii or batchmates, that of B.Sc. students is 19 thousand or something like that but the fees of Arts students are less than B.Sc. students. I don't have much idea about scholarships but I have heard that there is a NSP scholarship in which one gets approximately Rs 12,000.

Campus Life

4

Yes, there are many events in my college. In the month of November, many different types of events are organised like NSS Mela. The college library is very good and has a lot of relevant books stored in it, which is a great facility for the students. Class I have AC and fans, lights which are fine, and many other things like LED projector. There is also a sports ground in the college where many activities are conducted and many competitions also take place.

Admission

I had applied for admission in a college of Delhi University but one cannot take direct admission in it, hence one has to clear the CUET exam, in that too admission is done on the basis of marks.Hai See, not everyone can go to college like this, colleges are allotted on cute bases, I was allotted a very good college, hence nothing wrong has happened to me.

Faculty

5

The professors of my college i.e. Kirori Mal College are very good and friendly, they help the students a lot in their academics, this is good for the students, I like the arts block and science I really liked these two blocks which are well made. I didn't like the Commerce block because I saw it as an addition to the Block Art block, it should be separate. There are 2 semesters in a year, out of which there are 7 papers including theory and practical and there is no separate cut off in the papers, only that which is in the syllabus comes.

Night Life

3

After college gets over, Sabji goes out for a night walk with his friends to drink tea and eat parathas. I study in college, travel and also play sports. All the places in the college are safe even at night and not during the day like canteen lawn, Ashoka lawn, canteen, sports ground, etc. If we look outside the college, then the neighborhood is not a safe place for night.

Other Applied Colleges

Hansraj College - [HRC] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (History)

I had placed this college and course above Kirori Mal College in my preference list but it was not allotted to me.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've choose economics honour as economic was my favorite moreover it can be applied in real that's what makes it more attractive. Economic honour curriculum is nice till I've studied (I've completed 3 sems) , but for real world application college should make some more efforts not just ipcw but DU needs to enhance the syllabus. I'm gonna suggest that teacher should be less oriented towards reading and tells more about real economy and then tell us the concepts so we can understand better. There will always be class test going on in one subject atleast as we've 7 subjects (3 core and 4 additional) but additional subjects are way easy so mostly we focus on core subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course teaches about everyday aspect of economics. The microeconomics theories, the macroeconomic theories, the statistical methods of economics, the econometrics methods, the mathematical methods of economics, international economics, environmental economics, Indian Economic Development theories and everything. All these subjects will help the students to make their way ahead in the field of economics. The curriculum includes the real life applications of the theories which makes the theories relatable for the students. I think curriculum structure should eliminate the extra subjects like VAC or SEC and focus on the core subjects because these extra subjects usually waste the time of the students which they can contribute in their core subjects. I think the schedule of the exams cancelled be made better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would read the course curriculum as quite relevant and fairly comprehensive. The curriculum covers course subject in a structured manner which influence my decision to choose their course. It provides a strong theoretical foundation along with basic practical exposure. Helping students understand real-world applications and prepare for higher studies or entry level jobs. The syllabus is mostly updated through adding more industry oriented topics. Case studies and hands on project would further improve learning outcomes. Exams are conducted regularly through inter internal assessment and semester and exams. The difficulty level is moderate and students who prepare consistently can perform well. Overall the curriculum is effective but has score for improvement and practical and skill based learning.
