What Students Say

Likes

The infra is decent according to the fees it charges.
Women safety is really good . I have not seen any women around me being uncomfortable . The environment is chill .
Teachers are quite experienced and provide flexibility for the assignments and all.

Dislikes

Teachers are a bit unreachable since they donot respond on time after the college hours. .
There is no online portal like in other colleges where i can see my attendance and schedule.
Events are at low level maybe because of less funds as compared to other colleges events.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is on a difficult side . There are subjects like statistics and maths which are too practical and hard . But this opens my mind towards practical approaches. Moreover the demand for this course is much more then its related courses like bcom and bba.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 15700 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in du colleges are very low . The yearly fees for my course eco honors is very minimal i.e around 15,700 for the whole year which i can manage out myself . I dont have to be a burden on my family now and can manage my own expenses due to the low fees of my college.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and the people are very fun to be . Infra is also decent where we can chill with our friends . There is one downside i.e the ground is very very small but still it is manageable . There is a seperate cafetaria and a cafe in college where we can get food at very minimal cost .

Admission

I chose deshbandu , du because of its strong brand value and reputation . Moreover there is no tension of attendance so i can prepare for other courses easily and give boost to my career. I didnt chose other because i always wanted a stamp of du .

Faculty

The faculty is quite experienced but they are difficult to reach after college hours since they do not respond on time online. There are class tests and an end sem exam at last so there is no such issue of many tests and all.

Night Life

There is no such case of late night activities in college . My college gets over at 3-4 pm around . The area is very nice around to hangout with many cafes , iskon temple , lajpat nagar market and many more . Library is chilled with ac so i can study in peace there.

USME DTU Economics Hons review

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates.There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement.The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum.As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

DTU has a calming effect!

Placement Experience:

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU USME is as good as it's engineering college.

Placement Experience:

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Placement Experience:

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Life in college so far

I applied to the entire delhi university and got this college in my first preference and overall I was satisfied with the same because of the nirf ranking of the college. Also, I heard a lot about the faculty from some of my cousins who have been an alumni of this college that the faculty is way too good.
