Likes

The university has good faculty which enhances the overall learning exerience
The course structure is good offering a minor in either data science or management

Dislikes

The campus is pretty small compared to other uni's
Some of the socities/clubs aren't that active

Course Curriculum Overview

This course includes additional subjects like financial literacy etc which give you more of an edge. The course also offers a minor either in data sciece or management if one prefers to do so. The teaching methods could be involved by more involvement of the faculty with the students.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 117000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Paid Internships offered from companies in tech, finance and consulting. These often range from 5,000/- to 25,000/- + Major companies include PwC, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Flipkart. The TnP( Traning and Placement cell organises placement fairs.

Placement Experience

The students can be eligible for campus placements from the thir year( 6th semester ). Companies like Deloitte, EY, KPMG and other firms recruit for roles in consulting and data analytics. Approximately 30% of the students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for 2025-26 that i paid was 1.17 lakh which included tuition fee of 62,000/- The fees for 2026-27 will be 1.27 lakh including the tuition fee of 67,500/- The fees for 2027-28 will be 1.33 lakh including tuition fee of 70,500/- The fees of 2028-29 will be 1.33 lakh too including tution fee of 70,500/-

Campus Life

The annual fest is held in the main campus of dtu. There are various books available in the library to refer to. Sports like badminton, volleyball, basketball are offered on campus and activities like art,fashion, dance, music societies. Various socities like ecotech, deltech are there aswell.

Admission

This college provides a safe environment compared to some other colleges. I got an off campus college in Delhi University which wasn't providing that much of safety. Plus the course Economics honours felt better compared to Bcom honours. The college admission process involves registeration then few rounds of the offline counselling process. This college accepts admission through CUET.

Faculty

The faculty is good overall and easy to approach. 2 exams are held in one semester- Mid semester examinations and End semester examinations. They are moderate to difficult. Most students manage to clear the exams. The course curriculum is good aswell.

Night Life

There aren't alot of at the campus to hangout around though but the canteen area, library work well. There isn't any hostel in the campus. There aren't alot of hangout spots but certain bakeries, cafes are there outside the campus.

USME DTU Economics Hons review

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates.There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement.The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum.As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

DTU has a calming effect!

Placement Experience:

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU USME is as good as it's engineering college.

Placement Experience:

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

DTU has the best academic scheduling!

Placement Experience:

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

No information I have regarding these but as for my plans I wish to pursue eco hons from UK and then eventually work with the government either in rbi or some other branch whatever seems good at that time

There is a placement cell in Hansraj College which does provides placements of highest package around 25 lakh of last year and being median package around 7 lakhs, but this for selective courses like economics and BCom Honours and computer science Honours & few of mathematics honours while rest of the courses required to have different kind of skill sets can also go for placement depending up on the role that the companies bring to be hired for

DTU is Totally Worth Spending Time At!

Placement Experience:

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

DTU BBA or USME both the courses admission are based on pure entrance marks. All 180 seats are through merit and yes cut-off for different categories students are different as for general category the score of 590 was the cut-off for BBA and for SC/ST it was 311. USME DTU Economics Hons review

One mistake that i made during admissions was filling my DU CSAS portal's preference list wrong due to which i was unable to secure admission to some of the better colleges.When I compares my current college to the colleges I was alloted through DU,I realized my current college offered more advantages. Explore insights of DTU

I secured 96 percentile in jee and I was getting quite decent NITs but lower branch here in DTU I have environmental engineering I was getting the same in nsut and mechanical in igtuw, the admission in DTU is done through jac councelling there are 5 online rounds and 2 physical rounds , internal upgradation of branches is also there. I choose DTU over other choices because of its brilliant faculty of environmental engineering and diverse amount of technology present to study environmental engineering and it's location being delhi is also a plus. DTU USME is as good as it's engineering college.

If one wants to study economics in Delhi, they all know that SRCC is the one and I also tried my best but failed with a margin. For SRCC the cut was over 759 for DTU it was close to 600 in 2023. My score was over 650 and that was the reason why DTU welcomed me with open arms....Read More
