Course Curriculum Overview

4

as been from the science background I have deep interest in maths already, and I want to continue my passion for it. The proves the critical thinking the imaginary parts and the applications of mathematics. We see every day it motivates to think about these theorems. The curriculum of course is very good, but due to NEP, we have to study subjects like Hindi in our AEC which is very irrelevant to the curriculum and waste our four hours weekly in mathematics, we mainly deal in proof and theorem. There are very less real word applications that are being taught here. There are various areas for improvement like we can adapt the course or the curriculum.in universities like IITs,Cambridge Oxford and other big universities so that the placement and internship percentage can get improved in our college

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees I paid was ?17,300. It is all my tuition fee and my registration fee was ?250 on DU portal and I have paid nothing other than this. The categories. Students have a discount in their fees, which is almost thousand or more. My my son friends are from schedule caste and from schedule tribe. They pay ?16,000 per year. The university gives scholarship and financial aid to the students who are needful, there are a lot of scholarship and the amount varies in these scholarships, some students get hostel on their merit and it is very helpful for the students because hostel is very good

Campus Life

4

Our college organises a lot of events and fests usually, college organises these events in the month of February and March. In these events renowned Singer come to our college and perform like a concert in our library. There are a lot of books and generals which are from various varieties like studies, fictional stories, poetry, and etc. The classrooms are very good . In an average classroom, there is a sitting capacity of 50 students. Every classroom has a projector. There are a lot of social groups, clubs and societies that are being run by students. Student can learn a lot of things from the societies except to the studies. The sports ground of the college is quite Enough for cricket and football. Our college offer a lot of extra curricular activities.

Admission

I have not applied for any other colleges. I just applied for Delhi University and I got admission in Delhi University College. The admission process of this college is first of all you have to give the exam of CUET UG then you have to apply for Delhi University portal and make your preferences, and then you will get a college according to your marks and your preference. The eligibility is that you have to pass class 12th with minimum 45% and then you have to give CUET UG exam.

Faculty

3

the faculty to students ratio is 1:25. The faculty is really cooperative and things are well explained by them. They try their best to establish our roots making difficult things. Easy faculty of mathematics is really very good and friendly. I appreciate how our instructors delete mathematical concepts to their real uses. It makes class hours engaging, and enable us to appreciate where we can apply what we learn .

Night Life

3

Nightlife in the college campus is safe, but outside the college campus, it is not safe for a student to wonder alone. Yes, it is safe for a group but not for a girls group. The College provides gym, cafeteria libraries and public areas. But all of these closes on 6 PM. The hostel timings are 6 AM to 11 PM. The hostel is vibrant and supportive. Safe locality to roam around night is only the college campus because in college campus, you will find almost everyone is student but outside the college campus. It's not safe hangout places inside the college is gym, Ashoka lawn, canteen, lawn, etc. Outside the college, famous hangout spots are Majnukatilla Kamla Nagar, Vijayanagar, GTB Nagar

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
