Course Curriculum Overview

4

One of the key reasons I chose this course was its industry-oriented curriculum, especially the integration of modern technologies such as- Full Stack Development, DSA, AI/ML, Real-world capstone projects and hackathons. The curriculum does a good job in terms of bridging academics and industry demands- we work with Git, APIs, etc, then there are group projects mimic startup/team experience encouraging collaboration. DEspite the strengths of the course, it should have depth over breath on some topics, which were covered to quickly. Too many exams happen throuout the year are come very frequently, it could be changed.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship support seems good here at my college, wit hopportunities offered through on-campus placements, partner platforms, and immersion programs. 96% students got interned this year, with few international internships, the highest package went up to 2L/month. The interships came from many companies like swiggy, zomato, apple, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scaler Fees: ?1382998 BITS Fees(Degree fee): ?313002 Tution Total: ?1696000 Accomodation Total: ?589000(Double-Sharing) Course Total Cost: ?2285000 Optionals: Bus Fees/month: ?3500 Mess Fees/month: ?3000-?5000 Others: Caution Fee: ?10000 ALL fees have increased for the new batch. AND hostel fee and mess fee may change for all. Scholarships: Merit-cum-need: Typically ofered to string academic performers and limited finalcial background

Campus Life

3

Campus Life suddely comes during new admiision phase. There are few activities but it is not like the college life expected. Festivals are celebrated, there are sports tournaments, but the prepis not to the mark due to budget restrictions, which are mostly spent on media and promotions. There are clubs related to different work but they are not that active.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is decient having in room washroom with option od double or triple sharing. We have a wardrobe, study table, bed with matress, and regular houdse keeping service. There are water coolers at regular intervals for filling water and mess and cafeteria on the terrace, the food provided is not that good.

Admission

I chsoe SSt over colleges like VIT, Manipal, etc beacuse of the structures industry alligned curriculum here, getting student ready for what the world requires, focussing on real world tools, having frequent projects, mock interviews for better tech immersion.

Faculty

3

Faculty-to-student ratio is around 1:70 at least which means each professor handles a large number studenet hence the delays and slow processes. I really liked Kshitij Mishra Sir our DSA instructor, he teaches very well taking you in a very nice ride around important topics and then there is Dhruv bhaiya our friendly BSM helping us in our CP journey, and taking on our doubts any hour of the day. There are not any less than 8 exmas, as there are four trimesters each with one mid term and one final leading to exams almost every month. The level of exams is generally moderate only a few times there have been very difficult exams and most student clear it without a sweat by just completing the assignments and attending classes.

Interview Experience

5

Yeah I had a MCQ test and 2 rounds of interview before joining. I didnt really prepare anything speacial for them my JEE knowledge helped me clear them with ease. After selection I had discussions with my councellor assigned by them

Night Life

3

Nightlife is moderate not very happening neither extreme bore. The hostel gates close after 10PM so you cannot go out but there is tabble tennis, pool and few other games on terrace that you can enjoy. We also have an amphitheatre, reading room and TV room in our hostel. Students above 18 years get acccess to Cult gym which are well maintained and well equipped, there is a library in the campus with a small collection of books and a reading room at the hostel accessible 24*7.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

The students of the final semester are eligible for campus placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Omega Healthcare, Biocon, Cognizant, TCS, Accenture, Magic Bus, Intelizign, Patanjali Health Institute, etc. The highest package my seniors were offered was around 15L/year and the average was 8L/year. Almost 60-80% of students got the campus placements. I want to get my master's degree completed and then try for Ph.D. and get into the research field.

Placement Experience:

In the final year, students are given the freedom to choose for company internships or for individual craft documentations. After completing the internships there is a college campus placement every year. The placement wing is good and IIFT students get placed in many different companies. The salary package varies according to the Merits. If not placements the students can opt for higher studies as the college provides post-graduate courses and similar diploma courses too.
