Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at Scaler School of Technology is one of the key reasons. I chose this program. The projects and assignments are very practical and similar real start-up-like curriculum prepares a well for job roles in the top deck. Companies' concepts like DSA, oops, DBMS operating system and even an interview role built into the structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Scaler fees, including all four years is 21.56 lakhs if I talk about the breakdown then for first year the admission fee 75,000, then there is Sst tuition fee is 4.25 lakhs then for year two is 4.80lakhs then for year three, it's 4.50 lakhs and then for year four, it's 2.70 lakhs if we include hostel and fee it for year one

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Scaler School of tech is not as vibrant as in other colleges, while the college is relatively new, the social culture is growing rapidly. We have many student clubs like the creators club which I am proud to be a part of it gives a platform to explore their creative and technical skills. Many other clubs like competitive programming, open source club, media club, leadership club, etc. We recently had our first major technical event which was the Buildverse Hackathon a 24 hr hackathon. Many other events also takes place like we had our fresher's party, Garba night, Under 25 summit, which was great and a dance competition with DJ Night, all these events were amazing.

Hostel Facilities

4

As of now, we are currently staying at Uniworld, which is a Coed hostel where girls and boys stay together, but the floors are different so no boys are allowed on the girls' floor and vice versa. The rooms in Uniworld are clean and come with all the basic facilities like a bed, wardrobe, study table attached, bathroom, Wifi, and laundry services. There are both single and double sharing options, depending on your budget. Hostel is quite secure with CCTV and entry exit. The food is decent, not like home-cooked means but manageable

Admission

I applied to a few reputed institutions like BITS Pilani, which I got into and also considered options like III T, Hyderabad and Delhi University colleges, what made me choose Scaler School of Technology was its unique curriculum, mentorship, driven learning and strong industry ties while is a great traditional college, I felt Scaler was more focused on practical job skills and not just academic learning. I didn't face any major rejections, but I gave the NSET exam while I was in the middle of my semester exams, and luckily cleared it with. The admission process at Scaler was very smooth, 1st to register for NSET.

Faculty

4

the faculty at Scaler School of technology is one of the strongest points of the college. The faculty to student ratio is quite good and instructors are highly approachable. Most of them are from top tech backgrounds or have industry level experience which reflects in their teaching style. one of my favourite instructor is kshitij Sir, whose way of teaching DSA is extremely clear and concept breaks down complex topics into bite-size ideas and always encourages questions which makes class very interactive. So far I haven't faced any bad experiences with any faculty members. Everyone puts effort into making sessions meaning and there is regular feedback taken to improve teaching methods.

Night Life

4

Since Scaler School of tech technologies is located in Bengaluru. The overall vibe is pretty student friendly and lively. While the college itself doesn't have a traditional campus like older universities. The surrounding areas more than make up for it. So the campus is situated in electronic city phase 1, and the students live in a nearby hostel, and the hostel in time is usually around 10:30 PM as for unwinding students often gather for casual discussions, play games or go to for work or straight food runs the locality is pretty safe nightlife here isn't about party hard. It's more about bonding, exploring the city or working on site projects with. Although after 10:30 PM in our hostel, we have fifth floor which is open for like 24 hours, where you can roam or move around freely and enjoy. Traffic might feel hectic, but that is what it is.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Almost 60-80% of students got the campus placements. I want to get my master's degree completed and then try for Ph.D. and get into the research field.

In the final year, students are given the freedom to choose for company internships or for individual craft documentations. After completing the internships there is a college campus placement every year. The placement wing is good and IIFT students get placed in many different companies. The salary package varies according to the Merits. If not placements the students can opt for higher studies as the college provides post-graduate courses and similar diploma courses too.
