Inside the IIFT campus

IIFT provides a 3-year bachelor's degree in Fashion and Apparel Design course affiliated from Bangalore university. Once you start with the classes you will enrich yourself with more knowledge and experience day by day. Not only the student-teacher interaction is very friendly but the teachers and other staffs are also very helpful. The environment inside the campus is very good. All the laboratories are equipped with materials for the better learning experience of the students. Other than regular courses the college offers various workshops and industry visits for a better understanding, learning, and also experience.

It is an absolutely wonderful Course for those who want to gain knowledge regarding the fashion field. The classroom strength is not very crowded and the teachers upskill the students very well. There are laboratories for every subject and are equipped for better learning of the students. There are internal exams held inside the campus and two semesters per academic year. Other than bachelor degree Couse there are different diploma and master degree courses too.

The college offers freedom to the students to choose whether to opt for company internships or own craft documentation projects. There are both paid and unpaid internships. If someone chooses to craft documentations he is given the full freedom to design and create products of his own.

In the final year, students are given the freedom to choose for company internships or for individual craft documentations. After completing the internships there is a college campus placement every year. The placement wing is good and IIFT students get placed in many different companies. The salary package varies according to the Merits. If not placements the students can opt for higher studies as the college provides post-graduate courses and similar diploma courses too.

The fee structure varies for different courses offered in the college. For bachelor degree Course it is nearly one lakh per semester which is a moderate amount compared to other fashion colleges. There are scholarships offered based on merits and results.

The environment in the college is good. There is an annual fashion show Fashionite which is organized each year in the month of April for showcasing the creative skills and costumes by the final year students. There is a library that competes the requirements of study materials for the students. Separate classrooms are there for each class. Not only this, the college organizes sports day, talent's day along with various workshops and special classes. There is a social service group named "Sparsa trust" where the membering students do social service inside as well as outside the college.

There are separate pgs for boys and girls at a walking distance of nearly 15 minutes from the college. There is 2- sharing and 4 sharing rooms and the rent vary accordingly. They are separate menus and food quality for both the pgs. Generally, they provide vegetarian food for girls Pg. The rooms and accommodation is very good proving all the basic amenities like electricity, hot water lift, etc.
